Brother HL 1440 main pcb by jblazar (11/7/09 2:25 PM) reply + / -
Hi.

I dropped something on the USB cord and it pulled one side of the contact for the USB receptacle loose from the main PCB. I took it apart and resoldered the USB receptacle back onto the board. It looks and feels solid, but when I put everything back together, I have the same problem--nothing prints.

Any ideas? Should I replace the board? It will probably cost more than the printer, but I hate to give up this printer, as it works well.

Thanks.

Bill

looks and feels solid doesn't mean it's good electrically :)

have you measured continuity for all the 4 pins yet?
