This is has an on board NIC and I am getting the "54 STD Network software error" error. I have the latest firmware for the printer engine installed(at least I updated it with one I think is current) and there is no network cable problem. I need the NIC software firmware files and instructions.
If the network card is either option 1 or 2 try opening the side of the printer and remove then reseat the card, if it is a built in card try removing the logic board and reseating it. If neither of these work replace the network card. If it is a built in card use the option 1 or 2 slot then when unit powers up set up the card in the network menu for the correct option slot. If you still recieve an error when powering on try pressing go on the front of the printer.
