 | HP P3005 FUSER PARTS by johntriumph (7/2/09 5:35 AM) reply | + / - | I am getting HP P3005dn printers with a grinding noise
coming from the rear of the printer .
The cause i found is caused by two green plastic bearings
that the pressure roller on the fuser runs on . These
bearings are obviously worn. Anybody know a HP part Number
for these bearing or a source for them.

| Re: HP P3005 FUSER PARTS by Rison (7/2/09 6:51 AM) reply | + / - | you will also want to switch out the gears that drive the fuser, as they get noisey as hell (and cause the berings on the pressure roller to wear prematurely)
The gear #s are:
RU5-0956
RU5-0957
RU5-0958
RU5-0959 (this is the one that always gives problems)
will find parts on berings if/when I have time.

| HP P3005 FUSER PARTS by mbbigmike (8/8/09 8:16 AM) reply | + / - | Aug.8,2009:Just replaced the fuser,yesterday on the above printer;Worked great at shop,and customer,stated likewise,at his location,for 2hrs.,but then a service error 49FF,came on his screen,and unable to operate;Googled service error,and noone with this model,has had this code.But code has happened on other models,which HP calls ghost codes?Any ideas,since customer turned off,and back on,seems working currently,but,anticipating return call?

| Re: HP P3005 FUSER PARTS by dmzcompute  (8/8/09 1:01 PM) reply | + / - | 49 is a firmware issue and is caused most times by what is sent to the printer. I have seen many with Adobe or documents with foreign language characters cause most of the errors.

Before I tried a newer driver I'd want to know if a specific job was causing the problem, and then the first step is to use a different driver,
By different I mean PostScript instead of PCL, or PCL instead of PostScript.
