Does anyone know where I could purchase a cleaning brush for the 4550? I bought mine second-hand and mine is missing.

If someone is tossing their LJ 4550 or just has an extra one laying around they don't want, I'd love to have it, and I'll pay you for it and the postage to get it to me.

There's really nothing special about it. You can use a small artist's paint brush. It would probably be better. Only thing is you wouldn't be able to hang it from the hook. If you really want one, I've probably got a few.

Is it just a normal brush? No stiff bristles or anything like that? I don't mind using an artist's paint brush - I just want something that will work at least as good as the original one.

Is there any harm in using one brush for two printers? I'm pretty sure I have one in my LJ4, but I'd have to check and make sure tonight.

The only thing the brush is supposed to be used for is cleaning the lens on the toner sensor. You can see it on the diagram below the brush. You can do that with a cloth, a brush, canned air, etc. You're making a big deal out of nothing.

Ah, okay. I don't really know anything about laser printers other than what I read on this forum.

Thanks, Moe!
