HP Laserjet 2200 Ghosting

We are having significant ghosting problems on our HP Laserjet 2200 printer. The cartridge has been replaced several times but the problem continues. I have done some google searches and the problem appears to be a problem with the fuser? HP’s site mentions static and I have tried plugging it into different outlets. This problem has been going on for several months now. I have seen maintenance kits for replacing the fuser but don't see any on this site. Is this an easy DIY project?

The only thing that goes bad on the fuser is the fixing film. This is a thin plastic film that slides around the heater assy. It wears out and causes the ghosting. There is a replacement film in the kit pages of this site. It's not an easy DIY project, but it's not too difficult.
