HP 2200 Fuser Roller defect

HP 2200 Fuser Roller defect by Kevin Morris (5/16/08 3:06 PM) reply + / -
I have a 5 year old HP 2200 that has started printing smudges/faded copies of words/pictures that were printed earlier on the page. The original word and the "smudged word" are 75 mm (2.95 in) apart.

I have convinced myself that the fuser roller is the culprit.

I am writing to ask if this is the most likely thing,

AND

Is the HP LaserJet 2200 Fixing Film Kit what I need to fix it?

Any help and advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Kevin Morris

That separation is a lot closer to the circumference of the fixing film than the imaging drum. Those are the only 2 things that can cause it. The 2200 fixing film kit would be what you need.
