1. Connect the printer via USB and run the program HostIF.exe 2. Select Connection>If Connection>USB, the printer name should appear (C5600/C5800) 3. Select File Management>Block Transmission>Fileselection and load PJL_p0401_w0401_cA100_aA102.bin 4. Select transmission and the file will be sent to the printer. 5. LCD will display “Data Arrive” then “FW Loading”. The LCD will eventually return to “ON_LINE”. 6. Power cycle the printer.
After upgrade take a network configuration print and ensure that the DLM Version (PNL) is A1.01
i can give those files hosif.exe and .bin , if you want to fixed this problem.

Incidentally, Mebulur, how on earth did you manage to find those files in the first place, after reading your post I hunted around for both the C5600 firmware and "hostif.exe" and haven't been able to find either.

Does anyone have the firmware for a c5150n? This file doesn't seem to work with it! :( I believe the net card on the c5150n is a 8100e+ or something like that...

I also lost my network menu for my C5600 after trying to reset my toner page count. After searching since hours I found your posting. Could you help me and send me the files needed to fix my printer. Otherwise I seem to be lost.

No one with the 5400 Firmware? The Network-Card in the Printer is the Okilan8100e.
Does anybody know if the Host I/F Software works with the c5400? If answer is yes, is it possible to backup the Firmware from a working c5400 and write it to the one with the non working Network Card?
I hope you can help me...

This also worked on my oki c5500. I downloaded the files from the link posted above and used the firmware for the c5600/c5800. The printer's Network menu now appears and it's printing fine using the network connection.

I need a copy of that OkiLAN 8300e F/W File, as I have flash formatted as well. The only thing I could find that was close on the OKI ftp site was the 8100e. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have C5800 and wonder if this will help me. I tried downloading it but can't open it. Microsoft lists a choice of programs to open but I am confused. Any h elp will be appreciated.

I also have an OKI C6100 that will only print in black and white. Its the same printer that Mike F has. Has anyone found a fix for the printer so that it will print in color?

I have the OKI C3300 printer and my 4 year old son, in an oversight ,has opened the "OKI Maintenance Utility" and has pressed the option "Forced Flash Initialization." This has erased the network firmware of the internal network server of the printer. Could you please help me provide to me the file with the software to reinstall that functionality in my printer?
