Samsung CLP-510 Transfer Roller Reset by Mike9641 (2/3/07 10:38 PM) reply + / -
Hi,
I have read all the posts I can find here on the Samsung CLP-510, but can't find help anywhere on how to reset the Transfer Belt Life Count. I appreciate any help - thanks!

I am also looking for the same procedure. How to reset the transfer belt counter? The CLP-510 hidden maintenance menu lets me reset imaging unit, fuser, transfer roll, MP pickup and tray 1 Pickup. But not the transfer belt counter, which is approaching its page count limit. The printer is working fine and I do not see the need to replace anything. Help please!!

Hi. Forgive me for this dumb question--I am getting two messages. 1) "Replace Imaging Unit Soon" and 2) "Replace Transfer Belt Soon". What is the difference? When I search for each item online, they look the same. What are the ramifications (if any) of trying these resets? Unfortunately, I rely on this printer weekly, so I can't afford to be down, but I'm cheap too!! Thanks!

Turn off the unit, hold down enter and turn on. Hit enter when it says EDC mode. Access key is cancel 2x's, menu to maintenance, enter, scroll to imaging unit or transfer roller, enter, when it says initialized turn off and back on.

This is the reset you are looking for.

We followed these instructions, although we found it to be slightly different...we found the access key to be "enter", and hit it 2 times, then scrolled to imaging unit, hit enter, when initialized came up we turned it off and back on. Working fine.
