 | phaser 8200 by rvettraino (12/1/06 10:02 AM) reply | + / - | My xerox phaser 8200 sits on a windows network and about every 3rd job sent to it will put it in an endless loop. The LCD panel says processing data but never prints anything. I unplug the printer and plug it back in and it prints a few more jobs then does the same thing.

The way I would test is to leave it connected to the network and have one computer add it to its printers as a tcp/ip printer. In xp just go to add printer, check local printer but uncheck autodetect. Hit next and go to the bottom of the page and select create port and choose tcp/ip. Next type in the port ip address and hit next and then choose the driver. If the 8200 is not listed use the 860 or 850 driver. After it is loaded now send jobs only from the computer and lets say 4 or 5 jobs and see if it still happens. My money is it will work just fine.
