HP Laserjet 2100 by Robert (3/22/02 10:38 PM) reply + / -
I have a Laserjet 2100 printer that will not feed paper. It starts up fine and get green light, I send a testprint and it goes through the process of printing but does not feed the paper, it comes back with all the lights illuminated. The only way to reset is to turn off and on then it will reset. But continues to have the same problem. I noticed that the rear rollers startup and spin but the pickup roller never moves and I cannot spin the roller manually. I am assuming that the soleniod is not releasing the gear to let it rotate. I assume this because I dont hear the soleniod retract when the printing process begins. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

That's a primary error light pattern. Press Go and Job cancel buttons simultaneously and let me know what secondary error lights are on or blinking.

When I press the two buttons down and hold them I get two green lights but as soon as I release them I get the same three lights two greens and a orange. Lights are from green from the go button green on the misfeed sign and orange light on the Warning sign.

Again thank you for all your help.

Fuser error. You'll have to replace the fuser assembly.
