 | Phaser 850 error code 19,002.47 by chromedome5604 (10/20/05 2:26 PM) reply | + / - | Had this error code come up last night. Something about head location calibration?!?! Does anybody have any ideas on solutions to problem for an "at home" fix before I bite the bullet and head for the service shop? Thanks in advance.

The printer was working fine all day, then suddenly stopped putting ink on the sheet. Everything else seemed to be functioning properly. Any guess which one to start with; or should I look for a good used unit to buy!

None of those parts are particularly cheap, and it'd be a pain to try and diagnose one of those. Electronics troubleshooting is always a pain in the rear.
The ribbon cable is likely the cheapest to replace. Printhead, Power control board, and power suppply are probably all going to be more then $300 each.
It might be cheaper to just scrap it, honestly. Power supplies and Power control boards seem to have a pretty decent frequency for failure from what I've been hearing. I've only seen one failed power supply so far myself, and I think the power control board is a bit flaky as well.
