 | Laserjet 4si Jamming by John (11/26/04 7:47 AM) reply | + / - | I have a Laserjet 4si that jams on every page. The paper stops about 1 - 2 inches out of the fuser. The paper is fine, and does not accordian.

One thing you can do to try to narrow down what is happening is to change the output on the menu to the face up tray in the back which you have to open. After you make the menu change you will have to turn off the prnter and turn it back on for it to take effect. If the paper still jams I would lean towards a fuser issue if it happens on single sheet jobs. If all the jobs are mulitple you will have to make sure it is not a pickup issue or selenoid issue since the jam causing the printer to stop could be anywhere along the paper path. If it feeds ok to the faceup tray, your issue is then the diverter or the exit assembly in the upper cover. I would also check for broken plastic guides or something preventing the paper from entering the upper cover exit path.
