I am a tech I am trying to fix a canon lc 7500 with a checkprinter 330 code. I have replaced the fuser, the scanner and the code still appears,What is the proble,?

From the message board archives:

Error codes:

## 322 Fuser not heating (Usually Bad Fuser Module)
## 323 Laser Beam detect error
## 324 Laser scanner motor rotation incorrect
## 325 Fan motor inop
## 330 Power Supply (Replace/Repair)

You must turn on error management to have the machine display error codes, otherwise it will just say "CHECK PRINTER".

To turn error management on, enter the following: Press Data registration, #, Set, 00000011, set, stop. Now after the "check printer" message there should be one of the error codes above.

Supposedly, Nation-Wide Repair Service fixes the bad power supplies for $45.00. They can be reached at 800-798-1814. You can also buy one for $148.00 from www.loyal.net I hear. The proper replacement power supply part number for both the LC7000 and LC7500 is HH3-5278 so I am told.

Re: Canon LC7500 fax Check Printer Door by jdmccright (1/6/06 11:17 PM) reply + / -
Has anyone had a "Check Printer Door" message flash on the LCD? My fax is cycling this message but all of the doors are closed. How can I tell which door switch is faulty (from the board) and can I do it without tearing the whole bleeping thing apart? The switch for the left side door looks particularly hard to reach.... Any help would be appreciated!

If you can fix it for 45 cents sounds like a fuse blown.

Having the same trouble as jdmccright above, with the "Check Printer Door" message.

Tried the error code display procedure provided above by jon, to no avail (message remained the same, with no additional error code).

No idea which door (if any) is having a problem.

Any ideas?

I found out there's no real way to check which door it is. I ended up having to remove most of the plastic panels and the circuit boards to get to the one inside on the right side. But once you do get to them, the switches themselves can be pried open and the contacts cleaned of oxidation. Do be careful with the hinged top sheet feeder. After hours toiling with all this, I fixed the door problem but now the sheet feeder won't work. I haven't had the gumption to try to tackle that since, which was months ago. Go slowly, remove the pieces and screws and set them aside in little groups, take pictures if you must for the wiring connectors and their routing, but it can be done. Expect to consume a full day on the job. Good luck!

In your post, you say this error ##330 can be fixed for 45 cents. What is the common part that goes bad?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Canon LC700 fax by moe (5/7/07 8:39 AM) reply + / -
It's no big secret as it's discussed in another thread. There is a capacitor on the power supply that goes bad. If you do a search for it, you'll find it. I've fixed a few of them with that problem from the info on that thread. It's not for the LC700 model as in your subject line, it's the 7000/7500/9000 series.

Just now had this crop up again. The "Check Printer" error #330 on the Canon LC7500 is capacitor 32 on the power supply board. It is a 3.3uf 50v replace this cap and you should be good.

Well, thank you to everyone on this board especially Busymike....I had the same error message, went and bought a 3.3uf 50v cap from Radioshack and changed it out on the power supply board (even though there were no signs that it was bad) and 10 minutes later my error message is gone and the machine is working fine!!

This is a super easy fix for anyone to do themselves.

Thanks again!

I bought a Canon LC7500 fax machine at auction, and it does not work. I get an error message that says "Check Printer ##324." Is this something that can be repaired or should I just chuck the whole thing? The machine came with no manuals.
