I asked a HP technican about this and he said anytime a laser is ghosting, it is most likely a cleaning bar problem and to replace the cleaning bar. Okay, where is the cleaning bar on this machine? Does anyone know where I might get a technical manual on this machine? I looked through this site, but did not find a reference or cross reference to this machine.

The problem with your machine is it cost almost as much as a new machine to replace the fuser. It could also be the transfer unit and again the cost is very high.

Strange thing is $500 is the price for a replacement fuser. The 2300 model which replaced it is going for $599 at the Office Supply stores. Never thought I'd see the day when color laser printers became "disposable", but that's what seems to have happened.
