IIP IIIP Lower Tray

IIP IIIP Lower Tray by Don (1/24/04 11:26 AM) reply + / -
My trusty IIP I bought in 1989 finally began acting up last spring (EC 12). I had the repair shop fix it and now it does not seem to recognize that the lower tray unit is connected. That is, the Tray option does not appear in the menu tree. Is this a tray unit problem or a printer problem? Note, My IIIP does not appear to recognize the lower tray unit either because the Tray option does not appear in it's menu tree either.

Please help. I love my IIP and IIIP and I'm not ready to retire them if I can get the lower tray working again.

Thanks!

Don

Don, do I assume you just have the 1 tray and are swapping it from the IIp to the IIIp? If so, I guess that its a tray problem. I would check the pins on the tray to make sure they are not bent or worn.
