My old Okidata OL600e (bought new in 1997) has been giving me trouble of late. The red warning of doom pops up saying "off-line" "toner sensor error" thereby causing the printer not to operate at all. I went into the .ini file and reset the drum counter to over-ride the shut-off. It worked, I've now over-ridden the shut-off; however, the copies now printed remain VERY muddy. My next step, I am guessing, is to blow-out any toner powder-dust that may have leaked from the Okidata toner cartridge. If that doesn't work, then what next? A new roller? A new drum? Am pondering the parts costs vs. a new laserprinter !! Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help given.
