Hi, hope you can help. My printout contains what I want it to print out overlaid with stripes (that is, in addition to the stripes).I get pages of paper printed edge to edge (no margins), with dozens of black and white, thick and thin stripes. It prints only one page, then a message saying printer needs attention comes up. The paper tray and paper jam lights both blink red. Is this just an AC power supply problem? It's not a brand-new toner cartridge. Thanks. Heidi

Hi, Moe, I tried tweaking the connectors and did an engine test. Now it's got a few white stripes at the top of the page and the rest is solid black, edge to edge, and the two red lights are on solid rather than blinking. Does it sound like I need to replace something? Thanks, Heidi

A solid black page with white stripes at the top is indicative of a beam detect error at the laser. You should recheck the tweaking you did at the little board that hangs off the laser assy. Sometimes you can close the contacts too much and that's as bad as them being spread out. The only thing that puzzles me is that the lights should blink not be on steady.
