hp laserjet 4si

i have a 4si that always leaves marks on the right side of the paper almost resembling gears is this the work of exit rollers that are worn out? Can anyone offer advice on how i can fix this thanks bill

Stop the page in different areas and see at what point the marks are being put on the paper.

thanks moe i have since done that and the roller on the fuser has a large mark in it that is causeing my problem

How did you fix this roller problem? Did you remove the fuser and clean the roller? I have the same problem plus my paper jams most times if printing more than one page. Bryan

Normally you can't fix this issue, you have to replace the fuser. Your best bet is to get a maintenance kit in this situation, considering a kit is only around 20-$30 more than the fuser. At least thats what we sell them for. More than likely the printer needs rollers anyway.
