 | Canon Pixma MX700 printer error code B200 by janie6274 (7/16/10 10:37 PM) reply | +1 + / - | I am getting a B200 error code on my Canon Pixma MX700 multifunction printer. It is now a huge paperweight. Won't do anything.
I checked Canon's website, manual, etc. and cannot find out what this error code means. Help, please.

I called Canon technical support. I was told a B200 error could be a number of things: printhead, sensors. It was "something internal". I must say the Canon tech support person was very helpful and didn't ask me for money up front although my printer is a few years old.
Unfortunately, when I turned the multifunctional printer on, it beeped and then went dead. Not sure if there is a short circuit and it's toast or what. The Canon tech can't help me unless I can get it to light up. I was advised to take it to a local Canon tech.
I will try some troubleshooting before I decide what to do further. Will post here again if I have good info for you.

A short circuit in print head wiring might be a cause of the printer death. :( Canon error B200 description and solution are discussed here: http://printerspecial.blogspot.com
