TROUBLE with printing CD labels by drksu4life (3/8/10 9:05 AM) reply + / -
I am having trouble with my printer labels feeding correctly into my HP Deskjet 1220C. At first I thought it was because I had purchased an off-brand. Now I have Avery and I am having the same problem. The paper begins to feed and then stops and the printer prints like it thinks there is paper in it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do or what the problem is? THanks for your help!

If it's stopping, it's probably because it is hitting against some sort of obstruction, possibly a piece of label from a prior job. We used to use Avery labels and had nothing but problems with them. Mostly they had a lot of static cling and it would multi-feed the whole stack. If a printer repair shop can't keep them from multi-feeding, then there must be something wrong with the labels. We switched to an off-brand and haven't had a problem since.
