 | Cleaning Epson 4000 heads by Jeff Ellis (11/19/09 7:58 AM) reply | + / - | Hi gang,
I've an Epson 4000 printer. Doesn't get as much use as I'd like and sometimes sits for months without a print. At the moment things seem fine. No clogs. Good test print. About to begin a large print job over the next few days. From prvious experience I can expect to need a cleaning during the job.
I just ordered the Epson Stylus Head Cleaning Solution kit from this site. From the little I've read if I get a srious clog this could help. But I've never really opened up the printer other that the top cover to work with the paper.
Are there instructions & photos online somewhere that can take me through the steps I'd need to do if this happens? Or can I get to the heads easier than I am imagining?

All you can really do is use the cleaning options on the printer itself, normal cleaning for light clogs and power clean for more stubborn ones, although this can use alot of ink.
