 | canon mx700 by merlinmordred (11/7/09 4:01 AM) reply | + / - | I HAVE REPLACED THE BLACK INK CARTRIDGE. IT HAS CLICKED PROPERLY INTO PLACE BUT THE LIGHT CONTINUES TO FLASH AND THE INK IS NOT FLOWING CAUSING THE MACHINE TO GENERATE A 'NO INK" WARNING. I HAVE TRIED 2 OTHER NEW CARTRIDGES, ONE FROM CANON AND ONE GENERIC. NONE OF THE 3 CAN BE INSTALLED AND THE LIGHT CONTINUES TO FLASH. ANY SUGGESTIONS - PLEASE ?

 | Re: canon mx700 by DesAme (11/19/09 11:28 AM) reply | + / - | There is a plastic releasable piece in the front of the cartridge that first needs to be clicked in tight to the cartridge before installing. Once installed, it pops out so the cartridge fits properly. When I got my cartridges there were all popped out, so one of my cartridges did what yours is doing. So, make sure that there is no space between the main part of your cartridge and the front plastic piece. I think you just need to press it into place. BTW, I contacted the generic ink supply company (in my case clickinks) and the customer service rep there walked me through it. So, if my advice isn't working, you can try to contact the ink supply company. Good luck
