Thanks BSF, I followed your instructions exactly, put the copy printer on default and off it went. I am now wondering if resetting the counter every time I change the ink cartridges, as instructed in the maintenance list will keep me going a lot longer or will I eventually have to change the waste ink pads. I am about to go searching for this info. Thanks again, I was in the middle of an important project and not having a functioning printer was an extreme inconvenience. Anne
