1290 stylus epson

my 1290 epson has decided to light up the ink paper light when i power up and it wont do anything.the counters are all in the low numbers and it aint been abused seen light work and now it decides it is ill. any magic fixes out there would be greatly appreciated as i am at me witzz end with what has up till now been a wonderful piece of gear. thankyou in advance ian
