epson stylus c44ux

My epson c44ux recently stopped printing towards the end of a document and now has the red warning light on permanently (not flashing). There's definitely no paper jam and I've replaced both ink cartridges (non-Epson compatibles). Does anybody have any idea what the problem might be? Regards, Matthew.
