from the service manual
The connectors in the primary transfer
roller engaging motor drive signal line are
not connected properly. Reseat the motor
connector J5005 and the DC controller
PCB connector J1014.
2. Faulty primary transfer roller engaging
motor. Replace the motor.
3. Faulty DC controller PCB. Replace the
DC controller PCB.

Chima most likely one of the gears in the motor train is not aligned correctly. Download the doucment I have provided a link to which is for the replacement of the cartridge locks, but gives a good explaination of the gear alignment and gives good pictures of how the gears are supposed to be aligned. Bad alignment of the gears will cause a 50.CO error.

Chima check the transfer roller and make sure it is seated properly. It should spring up after pressing down on both sides.

DMZ,

Do you still have this download??

Would really appreciate it as I have changed the slider lock arm and now i'm getting this error. I guess the gears arent aligned like you said. Nightmare printer, it took me like over 4 hours to get to those gears in the first place and the manual is not very helpful.

Thanks,
Nick

Chima,

Thanks for getting back to me. It looks like your right about the alignment problem.

I can see the arrows on the gears and the chassis for the top gear, problem is I dont know how they are all meant to line up with each other as only the top gear has the arrow on the chassis.

If anyone has the instructions on the alignment of the gears that would be amazing.

thanks,
nick

Hi,

MY PRINTER IS SHOWING ERROR 59.C0.I have changed fuser assmbly.but problem n ot resolved
PLS WHAT CAN I DO.

the solution is very simple when u open the front door and remove the 4 toners there are four metal bars at the back with small plastic half circled attached
when u observe the metal bars u will notice the bars are (u) shaped hollow and have a large groove cut into each bar
-have to align all the these bars to make the grooves face down
ie:the the bottom of the (u) is facing up

to do this u remove the right side casing of the printer and remove the main motor assembly ( the assembly with the 4 main motors attached) remove carefully and rotate each bar to adjust the 4 bars and reassemble
remember to plug in all the connecters u disconnected the error is due to an alignment problem it can happen to due transporting or shock or in in relation to another error example( fuser removal or replacing) or it is a ghost error when not used for sometime:P
either way i hope this clears the error good luck

important (first switch of and remove power cable)
