Pleae help, Im going crazy!! My printer says Remove and Check Black Cartridge. I did that and I even put a new one and cleaned where the cartridge has contact and unplugged and shut on and off. What now?? It's been over a week I haven't been able to use the darn printer!!! This all started when I was printing over 20 pages and ran out of paper without finishing the print out. I thought it would be ok after I put more paper. First it said out of paper and now Remove & Check Black Cartridge.

The cartridge may have failed. Posts on the DeskJet 9xx series cartridge problems will apply to this machine. (most any check cartridge messages on HP inkjet printers are troubleshot with the same approach). http://www.fixyourownprinter.com
