I have a user with a Deskjet 2000C. Her 2000C will stop printing in the middle of a print job and all the lights; power, attention, and activity will just start flashing in no order or pattern. No error messages or codes on the PC or at the printer. She has to turn off the printer and turn it back on and then resend the print job. I've tried a different cable, checked the parallel port config in the PC's setup screens (set to ECP). Not sure what to do next.
Is this a communication error, a problem with the print job sent, or is the printer possessed?
