 | Epson SC 1520 cap assembly by peter harwood (2/20/06 3:54 AM) reply | + / - | Hi.
I have an Epson Stylus Color 1520 which is in need of an overhaul. Anyone know where you can obtain the small felt pads which sit in the cap assembly trays ie. the trays which sit under the printheads when they are in the docked position.
Also, I have noticed that these trays are spring loaded so that they seal against the printhead - but in mine the tray that sits under the black printhead doesn't seem to spring up as much as the color tray - is this correct?
On another subject - can anyone recommend a suitable grease for using on the guide shaft etc. I know Epson produce one but I can't seem to get hold of it.
Regards.

I suspected I might have to replace the whole cap assembly!
Regards.
