 | HP OfficeJet 5110 - good news by rmg (11/9/05 6:05 PM) reply | + / - | Hi All, I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU, to all you who contribute to this wonderful, wonderful site. I'm sitting here with 3 dead or dying HPs, but thanks to you, HP is sending me a replacement for my 5110. I used the on-line chat at the HP site, and as others have said, they made me go through all the steps that are posted on their site for the "carriage jam" problem (which, of course, I've already gone through a couple of times). But, no further questions asked, just "we are sending you a replacement unit and we're sorry you've had this problem."
I was so excited I forgot to even ask what they were sending. Anyway, for those of you who have the 5110, don't give up. Try the on-line chat. And thanks again, everyone.

 | Re: HP OfficeJet 5110 - good news by kwoods (3/4/06 10:37 PM) reply | + / - | I am currently chatting with the online support for HP, which has informed me that they have stopped replacing the defective HPs, and that I am only eligible to buy a refurbished unit at a discount.
Needless to say, I refuse to give them more of my money for a defective machine.
