HP 6110 All-in-One Service Manual or Parts diagram by Curt Smock (9/17/05 8:07 AM) reply + / -
Hi everyone -

Does anyone have access to or know where I can acquire a service manual for a HP Officejet 6110 All-in-One? I would like at least an exploded parts diagram for dissassembly/re-assembly purposes.

Thanks,

Curt

No service manual available.

http://partsurfer.hp.com should list some parts for it.

If it's the cartridge latch that's broken I have a spare available.

Click on my name in the title bar of this post to email me.

I too am looking for a replacement Ink Cartridge Holder that locks the Cartidge in place. Mine seems to have popped open, got jammed when the carriage moved and snapped off -- not just the front flap, but the whole thing. I'm wary of trying to glue the broken piece back on. Any idea where I can get a replacement? The HP site doesn't seem to have this part.

None available for 6xxx series. Only can find L7xxxx OJ series info on the HP learning center.

Live chat with HP transcript:

Officejet 6110 Owner: HP Officejet 6110, Q1636A, Ink cartridge latch broke. I need the part number which I cannot find on your Partsurfer.
Brown: Please give me a couple of minutes while I search for the information.
Officejet 6110 Owner: ok
Brown: Thank you for staying online.
Officejet 6110 Owner: ok
Brown: Officejet Owner, I would like to inform you that HP is providing best upgrade option for the unit.
Brown: I wish to inform you that HP is providing an option to exchange this defective unit with a upgraded All-in-One unit.
Brown: Under the upgrade option, you have the option of buying a upgraded printer at much lower prices. It means, we will send you with the another printer with a minimal cost then we will take your defective printer. And all the shipping charges will be paid by HP itself.
Officejet 6110 Owner: Is it under warranty?
Brown: I realize your All-in-One is not in warranty. However, let me provide you the best upgrade options available with me for this model.
Officejet 6110 Owner: It is not a defective unit except that the cartridge latch seemed to break on its own because I printed over 10 pages 2 days ago, and have not changed the cartridge recently.
Brown: Officejet Owner, I understand your concern.
Officejet 6110 Owner: I want the part number of that cartridge holder.
Brown: The part is not a user replaceable.
Officejet 6110 Owner: I can replace it.
Officejet 6110 Owner: You want me to buy an entire new product because of one plastic broken part?
Brown: Officejet Owner, as the part is not a user replaceable part, so the part number will not be available for the unit.
Brown: You have an option to service the unit.
Officejet 6110 Owner: How much money are you talking about for this new product?
Brown: The best option available for the upgrade is Officejet 6310 All-in-One at $119.99.
Officejet 6110 Owner: How do I get it at that price and with free shipping?
Brown: Under the upgrade option we will take the defective printer and send the upgraded printer.
Officejet 6110 Owner: What's the option to service the unit?
Brown: The serivce options will cost you approximately equal to the upgrade option.
Officejet 6110 Owner: Is the upgraded printer refurbished or new?
Brown: The upgraded option is the refurbished All-in-One.
Brown: A refurbished product is a product that has been returned to HP.
Brown: While there are many reasons for a return, most of these products have seen little or no use.
Brown: HP thoroughly tests all returned products to ensure that they look and function as if they were brand new.
HP products have a reputation for superior quality and reliability, and refurbished units are held to the same high standards as a new HP product.
Officejet 6110 Owner: Will it come with a warranty?
Brown: HP provides one year standard warranty.
Officejet 6110 Owner: How do I order it?
Brown: Let me arrange a call from our supervisor.
Brown: Please provide the ahipping details to update in our records.
Officejet 6110 Owner: I need to do some research and think about this. It just broke this morning. Is there a ticket number or something I can use for reference?
Brown: I will arrange a call at your convenient date and time.
Brown: Is that okay with you?
Officejet 6110 Owner: Yes, shipping details:
Officejet 6110 Owner: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Brown: Please provide the convenient date and time to call.
Officejet 6110 Owner: Today is fine, give me a couple of hours. Maybe 4 pm EST.
Brown: Sure.
Brown: Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
Officejet 6110 Owner: No ticket or reference number?
Brown: The session id of the chat is:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
Officejet 6110 Owner: OK. Thank you.
Brown: Thank you for contacting HP Total Care Real-Time chat support. If you need further assistance, please contact us again at: http://www.hp.com/support/chat. Chat support is available 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

When I lift the lid, it doesn't stay open, but I did find 2 springs on the paper tray. Any idea where they go? I bought it used and it didn't come with a book.

My color cartridge latch just broke......we have super-glued it for the time being as my university research paper is due this weekend. It looks to me like this simple part cannot be replaced. Any suggestions?

I was giving a HP 6110 All-in-one. It's a used one that didn't

come with a manual. I just plugged it in and it read "Error right

catridge incorrect". How do I correct that problem and how do I

open to replace the catridge?

Please help

Under the control panel, there is a handle. You lift it and the cartridges will move so you can change them.

My ink cartridge latch also broke. The machine is still in great shape but I am ready to trash the whole thing over a broken latch since its apparent HP does not provide the part. Does anyone know who has old machines that are parted out?

I bought my hp at a garage sale. There's nothing wrong with it as I can tell but it is getting low on ink. I ordered replacement ink cartridges but I don't know how to replace them. Can you help me with this matter.
I would appreciate it.

Bert......I also have the office jet 6110xi all-in-one and it has worked well for about 5 years. I recently put in new ink and cannot run a cartridge alignment page. I keep getting paper jam in the window on the printer unit, then it would say the paper is to narrow, load wider paper. I did some research online and took the cover off my media sensor and a small piece of paper dropped out. I put the cover back on and still cannot align my cartridges. I have checked and the settings appear to be correct. I can print a document the second or third try, although no scanning at all.
I am thinking my media sensor is defective and was wondering if there is any replacement for that?
Thanks, Lisa

Do a reset by pressing and holding the # and 3 buttons on the Control Panel while plugging in the power.

Clean the rectangular lens (where the blue light is emitted) on the spot sensor (media sensor) with a cotton swab and water.

Unfortunately, the only replacement parts available come from scrap printers.
