 | HP PSC 2110 Plastic Strip by Ron Lloyd (4/14/05 1:49 PM) reply | + / - | A customer brought in a PSC 2110 that their kid has stuck his hand into. There is a small transparent strip of plastic that is still attached at the right side of the printer (from the front) but I can't seem to figure out where it attachs to on the carriage. Any help or pictures :-) would be appreciated.

Kids just love to stick their little hands in and see what they can yank out. The one end probably tore. You can mend it by wrapping it with some clear scotch tape. Then cut a hole in it with a razor, approximating the original hole. Hang it back on the hook and tell them to keep it covered or out of reach.

Thankfully it is still in tact. First, what is the purpose of this strip? Second, how do I put it back properly? Thanks!
