 | HP PSC 2110 by Keith (2/1/05 12:18 PM) reply | + / - | Do you know how to cancel the Align Print Head function on a HP PSC 2110? It seems to pop up every now and then, probably from my fat fingers pushing a button. I pushed the black start copy button today, and it got hung in the alignment loop. It didn't need alignment. Tips?

Bypassing the Alignment
Press and hold the Setup, button, and then press Options (or Copy Options).

| HP PSC 2110 stuck on Remove & ck color cartridg by DLea (3/6/07 4:23 PM) reply | + / - | These haven't worked for me. Still getting printer display stuck on
Remove and check color cartridge. Was getting first page and portion of second alignment page to print, so black cartridge was recognized then. Now getting nothing. No attempt by 2110 to print, tho I've powered off numerous times, dis-and-re connected cables too. I've cleaned connectors with alcohol, tried several new black and color cartridges, HP and re-manufactured cartridges for 2110s via Office Depot, Pressed Setup and both Start Copy buttons, black & color keys; then Scrolled thru menus, but found nothing to change or switch on or off that would effect printer problem. I pressed Setup and Copy Options buttons together , but got nothing;
no response to that combination at all!!
NOTE I do get menu options when I press Setup and both Start Copy buttons simultaneously. But then, found no help to restart my printer from the menu options. HELP is still needed.

 | Re: HP PSC 2110 by Russdet (2/16/08 7:58 PM) reply | + / - | My printer was giving me the "Remove and check the black cartridge," but it turned out to be the color cartridge that was faulty. I tried different combinations of old cartridges to find out which combination allowed me to get to the alignment step. A new color cartridge did the trick. The cartridge that was faulty was only a few months old!. You might also try resetting the printer: (1) Turn on the printer. (2) Unplug the printer power cable. (3) Press and hold the "Cancel" and the Right Arrow button simultaneously while plugging in the power cable. (4) Continue to hold down those two buttons until the display responds with a "Reset" message.
