I've had an epson c82 for a couple of years and always use new epson ink refills. Last month my printer in mid day stopped printing black. I refilled the black - no luck, cleaned repeatedly and after 2 new sets of ink and then it would only print in pink. I called technical help at epson - and ended up getting a c86 replacement. I've had the C86 for 3 days now and whoops - same problem. Any ideas?
Kelly: Quickly call Epson back and arrange to get another replacement printer sent to you. The chances are good, that its probably an actual hardware/parts failure, rather than something you are doing wrong...JUST SO YOU WILL KNOW: A "Whole Unit Exchange" may not actually be a NEW printer. Usually you are sent a replacement printer, that was already returned to Epson under warranty. That returned printer was probably sent to the Epson Repair Facility, where it was repaired [hopefully] and is then may be used in the Whole Unit Exchange program, for another customer that has a printer failure under warranty...Good Luck!
