hp 8550 67.2 error

hi can anybdy help me i have a hp 8550 which continues to show a 67.2 error i have been in contact with HP but not even they can give me an explination to this error

Hello Here goes: 67.00.00 - 67.X PRINTER ERROR POWER CYCLE Indicates an electronic controller error. X = Description 1 = DC Controller Error 2 = DC Controller IC Malfunction 3 = Internal Communication Malfunction Turn the printer off and on to reset the printer. Sorry can not be more help with out the unit in front of me.Good luck Rob

hello i did try and replace the dc controller earlier but still had the same error thanking you for your time

we ran into the same problem and it turned out to be the scanner. nobody even hp gave us this info. we figured it out luckily by swapping parts until we tried the scanner. good luck and let me know if that works. bob
