After a power cut off my Office Jet G85 printer is not working all the lights are flashing.
I did press power on and off but it is still not working

Press and hold the # and 6 buttons while plugging in the power. This will reset the printer if the electonics has not failed.

Bert,
You are number one as far as I know, hope I can learn from you.
Thanks

Hi, I shut off my printer while it was doing a second clean printer heads that I didn't mean to do and since then all my lights are flashing and I get an error message flashing B827b366. I tried both the 6 and # hold button hold down and the power hold down while taking out the power cord but neither helped. Does that mean my electronics are fried and if so, what do I do from here? I have a friend who can replace such things if I know what part to buy. Can anyone help? Many thanks!

From your description of what you did to reset the printer, you may be confused.

1. Unplug the power from the printer.
2. Press and hold in the # and 6 buttons at the same time.
3. While still holding in the buttons plug in the power.

If the reset works the printer display will ask what language you want to use.

Thanks Bert, I had read this reset trick in one of your other threads and tried it and it doesn't work or ask me what language. I am starting this procedure when the power is on. I also tried another reset with the power button holding it down 60 seconds with with the power cable unconnected. It's really too bad because it still prints and faxes, it just won't copy anymore :-( Am I a goner?
