Help Canon BJC 6000 by Nicky (9/14/04 3:54 PM) reply + / -
I replaced the black ink cartridge and my printer printed yet about 2 weeks later it stopped printing. It goes through the process of printing and makes the noise yet when its done the sheet of paper is blank. What do I do?

Re: Help Canon BJC 6000 by Rudy (9/14/04 4:14 PM) reply + / -
It is entirely possible that the cartridge (printhead) itself has failed. What you replaced was just the ink tank.

Clean the printhead and it's contacts with distilled water.

A link to canon support is located on the home page here...scroll down.

Thanks, but it still didn't work. Do you think it's possible that i have to change the blue, red and yellow ink cartridges as well?

grazie

Hello, I have the same problem with the first posted message. My canon bjc-6000 won't print black, I have changed the toner & the printer head too, still would'nt work. I tried to do deep cleaning on the printer head, still no result! It is a nice inkjet printer and I hate to get rid of it. Please help!

I'm sorry, but I do not usually work on Canon Printers, so I'm not really framiliar with them. The following web-site links may be useful in the future, if they don't help you right now. SITE #1: http://canonhelp.freehttp.com/ . A "Canon Help Page" for Error Codes, thats for a lot of the "BC" and "BJC" Printers. SITE #2: http://www.usa.canon.com/html/conCprTSIndex.jsp . A Canon USA Technical Support page. SITE #3: http://www.usa.canon.com/html/conCprSupport.jsp . A Canon USA "Contact Canon" site for PRODUCT INFORMATION/TECHNICAL SUPPORT. SITE #4: http://www.usa.canon.com/html/conCprTSIndex.jsp?app=download . A Canon USA "Download Library" web-site. SITE #5: You can also try http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/canon/canonidx.htm , for possible help. I'm told that is a great site for older canons and includes information on the waste ink error...I hope this helps! Denny Conway

How do I clean and replace the pads and units which deep clean the printhead. I have tried cleaning and now the pads snag the printhead with each pass.Any ideas?
