 | Canon S9000 by GEOFF (8/29/04 4:30 AM) reply | + / - | First, can any one supply me with details of a UK supplier of LO COST printer heads for this model ? Best price so far is £105 ! Secondly, re the waste ink tank problem, I find that this is activated by the number of starting up actions, and therefore I leave my machine switched on all day. After stripping doen and washing the felt mat I located the pipes leading from the pump (under the parked printer head) connected these to aquarium type air line/connectors and fed this line through a small hole drilled into the right hand side of the casing into the top of a plastic bottle. When the printer is raised 6 inches above the bottle ALL cleaning cycle ink is drained into the bottle, and the internal pad is used only to mop up minute quantities ! Why cannot Canon build in a small container that can be emptied when full ? A great machine , but a lousy policy towards those who purchase their goods !

 | Re: Canon S9000 by TomF (8/14/07 10:37 AM) reply | + / - | My local Canon service center has declared my S9000 dead because "the 7 flash indicates either head, cable, or circuit board are bad - and the head and cable(s) test OK, so the board is bad. Time to toss the printer". Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks
