Canon BJC 3000 printing horizontal lines by Fiendish (3/6/04 12:07 PM) reply + / -
Hi

I have a Canon BJC 3000 printer and I have started to get horizontal lines printed when I print graphics, text prints just fine. The lines are only printed in the graphics, not across the blank part of the paper. The lines are of all different colours. I have cleaned the printhead and the inks I am using are genuine canon inks. I was wondering if it was something to do with the waste ink tank being full but have received no error flashes from the printer.

I realise this printer is now around 4 years old but if anyone can tell me how to fix this problem I would be grateful.

Cheers

I bought this printer and it already had this problem straight out of the box, I didn't have to wait for the problem to slowly come out of the closet. Anyway, the only way I could half-solve the problem was to go to the settings somewhere and select the Optimizer(?) for images - only apply this to the photos/picimages, not the whole document itself (ie not including the text you type etc). This sort of blurs the image to a softer version of what you might get originally, but at least it pretty much eliminates the annoying print-lines as you have experienced. Hope this helps.
