Hi, I just got a hold of a hp officejet k60 with a bad encoder strip. HP wants $15 for the part. Anywhere I could get one cheaper? Also, is it as easy it looks to install, or is there a catch? Thanks

It's easy once you remove case. Be aware that the encoder strip threads through a slot in the carriage.

Need part # for an encoder strip for a hp officejet k60, also were this item could be purchased in Oddesa or Midland Texas. Thank you so much. Ronnie Williams

C4557-80001 Description: Encoder strip - Clear strip with position marks - Used by the sensor in the carriage assembly to determine position I have a couple of used encoder strips available, email me if you are interested. I do advise checking with Moe first to see if he happens to have any on hand.
