I have cleaned the parking station as you recommended, You also recommended cleaning wipers. What are wipers? I printed a picture from the web and the color black was much better, but not completely black. The pictures I print from the scanner was very speaky. Both ink cartridges (color & black) are new. Please advise. Thank you

| Re: hp deskjet 712c lights by Bert (1/21/04 11:02 PM) reply | + / - | The wipers are part of the service station (parking station) and move across the print cartridge nozzles for the purpose of cleaning them. The wipers can get so much dried ink on them that they do not clean correctly.

Ok .......now I need a prozac and mayby a xaxax, and a beer.

Thirty bucks is a lot cheaper than buying a new printer and also finding out that the cartridges empty about twice as fast as compared to your old DJ.

The problem with the blinking lights indicates an error. To get the error code, press the <resume> button and note the light sequence (It will be different from the original sequence). This will tell you what the problem means. For more info, visit the help file for your printer or go to hp's website.
Please post what kind of light sequence you get. This could be the key to fixing your problem.

I was told i could go online to get to download the disc and save it to store in my computer to add the printer.
So, I need help in this area.

| Re: hp deskjet 712c lights by Bert (3/17/08 9:39 PM) reply | + / - | If you are using Windows XP or Vista the computer should automatically install the driver. If not go to Printers in the Control Panel and select Add Printer.
If you are using Windows 98 HP no longer supplies the driver. Email me by clicking on the crossed tools to the right of my name and I'll email you the driver. Be specific about what you want.
