I have a Epson Stylus 2000P that is not working properly. When I print an image, I’m getting random blue lines thru the image. The blue lines go across the image and to the edge of the paper of the paper (across the white margins also). If the image is 8”X10” and the paper is 11”X14” the blue lines will go to the edge of the paper and are not part of the image. The image quality is fine, I just can''t get rid of the blue lines. It is as if the blue nozzel is sticking open sometimes or something and printing random blue lines the whole way across the paper. When I do the nozzel check it is fine, no broken lines. I cleaned the heads nine time, realigned the printer, put in a new cartridge, cleaned the heads three more times as per Epsons instruction but it didn''t help. Can a clogged nozzel cause this problem? Please advise as to the problem and a solution ASAP. Thanks Jeffry 814-942-2277 Jeffry@redeemit.biz

the problem may be greater than the printer is worth, kid of hard to tell without actually seeing the printer, but it could be the mainboard that is faulty. try reloading the print driver or updating it, be sure to un-install the previous driver if you decide to install a fresh version. try printing a test page, and you can also try replacing the cyan cart.

Jeffry: You said "when I do the nozzle check it is fine, no broken lines" and "I cleaned the heads nine time". When a Nozzle Test comes out looking ok and there are no broken lines/missing lines, then you would not have a CLOGGED PRINTHEAD. Even if you did, it would cause that color or black to not print correctly and usually you would just see VOID LINES or WHITE LINES thru your printing. Unfortunatly, all you are actually doing when you are running the Printhead Cleaning Cycle nine times is wasting your ink and emptying your cartridges...I would agree with Kingsley, usually when I see that type of problem, it is normally do to a failing "Main Board Assembly". At the very least, its probably some other normally expensive electrical problem and or part to have repaired. I'm sorry, but there is just no way to really know, nothing I can really do to help you and no real easy solution...Denny Conway
