 | HP Deskjet 722C Lights by Chris (8/14/03 1:52 PM) reply | + / - | Help!! My HP deskjet 722C series printer literally went "on the blink". All lights are blinking (the power light, the resume light, and the Catridge light). I have adjusted the banner tray, unplugged and replugged everything- to no avail. I know I am not having a software problem because my computer will still turn the printer on when I try to print but the printer is too busy blinking to print anything!! I noticed that when I opened the catridge door, the cartridges did not slide over for easy intallation. Could the mecahnism be broke perhaps? Please help. Right now this is only printer I have and I am a poor graduate student. Any help would be greatly appreciated- including how much something like this might cost if I take it in to be serviced without a warranty. Thanks!!

To put it simply, HP says after you've tried all of that stuff and the error persists, get service. Cost? Don't know. I do know that the price of replacement assemblies will lead you to think about getting a new printer. If that ends up being your thinking I suggest a Deskjet 6122, not dirt cheap but cheaper to operate than the bargain models.
