I have a problem with a Olivetti pr2e and 9 pin dot matrix used in the banking and passbook sector. I got a new Main Board for as the other was BER I need the firmware or flash code for it,It is model pr2e any flash will do I can get a windows driver for it. Fixing this would help me a lot. I have access to lot of Files and service manuals for alsorts printers Hp Lexmark Genicom Epson. I have seen some good fixes on here. Rod

hi mcprinter! iam phi, iam a technical. iam learning about printer olivetti pr2e. now i have serveral printers has bad and error as follow: - the led Power On not display. - the led Station 1 and Local and Station 2 blink uninterrupted. i study user manual that you post on "http://www.eserviceinfo.com/" but i don't look for. iam helping. have you got technical document or how ways to repair? please could you guide me? thankyou.

Hi i have couple of pr2e printers that when not printing anything , they roll on as if you were trying to put paper in. This causes the printer to not take in any paper whilst this is happening.

In the manual (page 58) in section 4.3.2 Support Software it makes mention of 'Set-up management software'. Does anyone know whether this software would allow me to modify the configuration of the PR2E via the serial port, and if so where I can obtain it?

How to diagnos a PRE2 or PR2E turn off the printer open the cover push the print had to the max left hold the 3 bottom down turn on when u leasten the pip unhold the boutoms cover up push twice ST1 when the ST2 led in on insert a A4 paper in this moment the printer is selfdiagnosting ++++++IF ther any probleme here++++++ when it return the paper insert it again the printer prints some data when it return the paper press local turn off
turn of the printer open the cover hold down ST1 and ST2 turn ON when you leasen the bip unhold the botoums close the cover insert a a4 paper press local when you are invited to follow instructions and good lucK
And you need Olivetti emulation for Dual Mode Automatique under Windows XP

Hello Are the Olivetti PR2 and PR2E software compatible? I.E. Do they use the same command set? I read somewhere that they do but need to confirm. The reason is I need to develop software for the PR2 but may have to user a PR2E to develop.

hi I have a PR2E ,it cannot printing it turn on ok, load paper ok ,when it receive data from pc ,it load paper and printhead move two time then eject paper

Hi All, Can anyone please pass to me the control sequence to be sent from pc to olivetti pr2e printer for passbook printing. Though i give column position 1 the data is printed in different column.Quick response is highy appreciated,
I have got an old PR2E. It can print but the lines are shortened a bit at the foot (incomplete printing or deformity I am not sure I print from MS Word)- Not all the lines but very frequent. Sometimes there is warning says "printer switched off or calble pulled out (806)" ... in fact the printer is on and cable is still there (my signal data cable is com /com I bought at the shop because i do not have the original one).
When I print test page (in darft font I trust) the printer prints very well !!!
Would appreciate if anyone can let me know the cause adn/or how to fix it. Thanks very much.
Help pls I cannot access to whole setup ! I can only get the Configuration menu details (OK) but cannot get out the Olivetti and IBM menu even they just come out the headers but no parameters to choose !!!
