I would get it to print (no high-speed motor noise). A very quick google search "hp printer error code 52" pointed me to you folks. I read and searched the testimonials for 51 & 52 errors. It seemed that all the very happy customers had reports their problem as 52 errors. I was a bit reluctant to order the scanner motor kit because of this infrequent mention. I'm very happy that I took the gamble. In real-time repair mode ran the CD Repair Video and was almost able to keep up with it. I had to pause a few time to find the correct screws. The installation and test took only about 35 minutes. I'm also very glad you added the additional checks. I found that my drum clutch was also cracked. It hasn't caused a problems so far, but that part's on order too.You folks offer a great service at a very fair price. The repair video really adds to to a quality kit. And, thank God for "google"!

Vern

HP 5L/6L Multi-Sheet/No Feed Repair Kit Testimonial
Just thought I'd send in a word of thanks for the repair kit. It did the job!
My 5 year old HP 5L had quite a while ago taken on the annoying habit of feeding more than one sheet of paper through when printing, so we'd been living with having to manually feed each page one at a time - what a pain!
Then I recently decided to get the thing fixed. This was not a cheap printer at the time of purchase and I hate throwing things away. Unfortunately all the quotes I was getting from computer stores was that it would cost over $100 to fix.
Then I noticed a newsgroup posting someone else had made suggesting your repair kit as a great way to go. So I looked at your Web site, read the testimonials, looked through the message board and decided the price was worth taking a chance on.
The kit arrived a few days later and today I sat down and did the deed and fixed my printer's problem!
Anyway, thanks for the service. Computers and hardware are made out to be such a mystery to consumers, a service like yours helps us tremendously - at least those not so afraid to tinker just a little (and I'm always very cautious of doing so for fear or breaking something or blowing a chip with static electricity).
Sincerely,
Dan

Re: Apple PLW 2 Blinking Lights (At Print) Repair Kit Order
I just wanted to send a quick note of thanks. Because of your video and parts, our Apple Personal LaserWriter NT is working again! I wouldn't have tackled it without the video. You are doing a great service to laser printer users everywhere!
Finest regards,
Bill
I received my HP llp 12 error kit and followed your video tape. It was so easy that I enjoyed doing the repair. My HP is in tip top condition now.
Thanks
Phil
Just wanted to let you know that the installation of the HP 5L repair sep kit went flawlessly. Thanks very much. The CD instruction disk was great. I did have the yellow light go on when I first tried to print but, dummy me, I forgot to re-install the toner cartridge.
Stan
I received the part and tape yesterday. Took 15 minutes to replace part and printer works great. Thanks for your help. Very impressive service. Have told my friends.
Ralph
Good morning.
I have about a dozen LaserWriter II Apple printers, some of which have seen better days. I was reluctant to toss them, as I knew they're salvageable, but the estimates from the local shops were many times what I was willing to spend to repair them. I read about your site someplace, can't remember where. One recent Sunday night, with some trepidation, I ordered pickup jam kits for 2 machines. The kits arrived the following Thursday. The video cassette arrived smashed, but I carefully glued it back together and watched it. That evening I installed one of the new infeed rollers. The job took me about 45 minutes. The printer works perfectly. Two evenings later I installed a kit in another printer. This one took longer as I dropped a screw down some God-forsaken hole and I finally found it after removing the logic board. This printer also works perfectly. Not only am I impressed with your parts kits, but that video makes your service many times more useful. There are many things people would attempt to repair if they could only first see a demonstration, and your video fills this need very well. I checked a local shop for parts prices now that I know what's needed to repair more printers. The prices I was quoted for parts are at best equal to yours, most are more expensive, and some aren't even available. So I have placed an order for more repair kits. I am confident that soon my printer fleet will be running as well as the day it was new. Please feel free to use my experience any way you wish.
Sincerely,
Jay
Received the kit. Thanks for the great video, I could not have completed the repair without it! Everything went smoothly and the printer is well again!
Thanks again and Merry Christmas.

I Fixed My Own Printer!!!!
Moe:
Thanx a bunch for the HP5L multi-sheet feed repair kit. In fact, you guys didn't send it out as promised, so you waived the postage when you finally did send it!
I fixed my own printer!!!! For only $29.00. Really, it's not difficult at all and the (new) video makes it very clear. The whole process took me about an hour. The local shop wanted about $150.00 for the repair.
No more muti-sheet feed problems, it runs like a charm.
Thanx again,
Elise
I received the parts and they have been installed with no problem, aided, of course, by your CD. The Laser Service format is so simple in its concept yet so valuable to maintaining the life of older equipment without spending too much.
Thank you for your service.

Re: Scanner assembly for an HP 1100: Success!
Moe,
Lovely! It worked!! I.e., I got the video, cleaned the scanner assembly on my HP 1100, and it's now as good as new.
Thanks *very* much!
Phil
Thanks dude,
Your error 52 kit has my IIP (the volkswagon beetle of printers) back in business. While it's not as hard core as getting down with the service manual and a multimeter, it is much easier to follow. Cheers for a cheap well done kit and a very slick web site.
Brendan
FYI - the kit worked great - many many thanks!
I did not really need the instructional video that came with, but it was reassuring to watch the first part of it, and even though the video was not of professional calibre, it helped things go really smoothly.
I was very pleased with your pricing and help, and would recommend you to anyone who has the inclination to do-it-yourself repairs on a printer.
If you want to quote me on your site, please feel free to do so, but do not give out my full name or email.
Thanks again,
Les
I just wanted to say thanks... Your diagnosis concerning my Star LP 4 was on the money! I ordered a repair kit from you and now my printer is working great.

Hi Moe: Got my 52error kit and it's great!! Thanks!!
Hi Moe:
Just wanted to let you know I got the 52 service error kit you sent out again (the first lost by the post office). Your video was super and all is working fine. Thanks for all your help and expertise and for being so generous with your time and knowledge.
Thanks again for everything.
Stephen
Hi,
I recently purchased a printer repair kit for my HP LaserJet 5L, which was jamming and feeding multiple pages at a time. The kit arrived promptly, and even though I am not the most mechanically-inclined guy, I tried it, and began taking my printer apart.
30 minutes later, thanks to the incredibly helpful video which accompanied the kit, my printer was re-assembled (no extra pieces leftover!) and working as it was supposed to. No more jams, no more multiple page feeds.
I am impressed--I didn't think I could Fix My Own Printer, but I did!
You may use this on your website as a testimonial if you'd like.

Re: HP III Exit Jam repair kit
Unbelievable - a personally prepared reply within 15 minutes, late at night, and right on target! I had, indeed, bent the connector back. I fixed it quite easily. The 50 service error is gone and the printer is back in action. Because your advice was exactly right and so lightning fast, I can continue to work from home this weekend rather than going in to the office to print out my documents Sunday evening. That saved me at least 2 hours which, at my hourly rate, is several times the cost of the repair kit. Your customer service exceeded my wildest expectations.
Thank you very much.
Atty
Moe,
Thanks for the HP 5L feed repair kit. Everything went smoothly. Piece of cake! I did notice some white lines on some of the darker areas that were printed. I think I might need a new toner cartridge. I just ordered one tonight. Anyway, the feed problem seems to be solved. Thanks so much.
Happy New Year,
Baher

The repair kit to replace the fuser lamp in my Epson Action Laser 1500 worked great. The video on the CD-ROM was excellent. The lamp replacement went very easily.

Re: LaserWrier IIf vertical white stripe
Moe,
You're a genius! If I didn't know better I'd swear you sneaked into my house and snooped through my printer. That screw was right where you said it would be. Took it out and solved the vertical stripe problem.
Thanks again!

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
Moe,
Some time ago, I contacted you about my LaserWriter IIg screaming like a banshee. You said to try "tweaking" the connectors. For various reasons (like the fact that I could use my inkjet, and that I'm basically lazy), I put it off. However, this morning, I was trying to kill time beforeheading to work, so I thought, "What the heck." Took ten minutes to find all the screws so that I could get to the connectors, followed the instructions on tweaking, which took all of five minutes, and son-of-B! It worked!! My beloved 12-year-old printer (which started life as a IISC) is working beautifully again! You are awesome! Thanks again!

HP Laserjet 6L printer repair kit....
Dear folks at Laser-Service...
I recently purchased your HP LaserJet 5L/6L Multiple-Sheet/No Feed Repair Kit (VHS Tape) for my HP 6L printer... I just wanted to commend you on an excellent product that was installed with no problems at all and the printer works as new. The videotape was great. If I ever have need of printer service in the future, you will be the first on the list.
Keep up the good work and thanks...

Hi Moe,
I received my Exit Jam Kit for my Apple LaserWriter Pro 630 the next day after ordering it. The CD (it also came with a VHS tape) was excellent. It took me approx. 30 minutes to do the re-build. Upon completion everything worked perfect. Thanks for a great product and a great CD.

Re: Reset HP Laserjet 6L paper sensors?
Hi there,
This site gave me the best advice I have ever had! I have no idea of normally what the different part of a printer is however I look for 20 seconds and found a cure for my printer, pressed on the parts and bang the printer was back in action. I cannot believe that HP wanted GBP20 for this - probably they wouldn't even know how to fix it anyway.
Thanks so much!
Jesper
Your kit saved us 200 (GBP) against the price HP quoted us for fixing the printer. The kit arrived promptly and the CD instructional video was perfect.
Your warnings of "pay close attention 'cos this is where you're gonna screw up" gave us a good laugh, and also made us pay attention!
From opening the package to having the printer back online was little more than an hour.
You da man!
Regards
Murray
Hello there! We got a laserjet 4 about a year ago from where my aunt works. They said the printer was always screwing up their paper and all, so they didn't want it anymore (they even had a technician check it out, he changed a couple of pieces in it, but never solved their problem). For a while, we thought they were nuts, goes we didn't have any problems with the printer. But a couple of weeks ago, it has started having more and more paper jams. We ordered a exit paper jam repair kit (might not be the exact name) and now the printer works as if it was new! The video had clear and simple instructions. Maybe a thing you could work on is the zoom'ing part of the video, but other than that, a big 10/10!

Hi Moe...
Just wanted to thank you for the repair kit for my HP LaserJet 1100. The printer was both jaming frequently and printing multiple pages. I'd print a 10 page document and get a few blank pages in there, I'd be lucky if it didn't jam. I tried multiple types and prices of paper, but nothing seemed to help.
I found your repair kit online, I think via one of the newsgroups, and have not had a problem since, problem solved! The installation was easy and could be done by anyone.
Thanks very much
Joel
Just wanted to let you know. The Apple LaserWriter Select Fade problem tape you sent we worked like a champ. I was able to clean my laserwriter and put it back into service in about 45 minutes! This has been an excellent printer... running without a hitch since I bought it in 1992.
Thanks for your help!
Tom
The install of the "HP Inside Printer Accordion Jam Repair Kit" went great. The HP printer works fine.
Many thanks.
Michael
Your guys are fantastic! My Epson Action Laser 1500 started giving my 003 errors on Sunday and wouldn't print. I did a web search for that error and Google came up with your site. I ordered the 003 Service Error Repair Kit on Tuesday and received it yesterday. With the aid of the instruction video, I successfully installed the new fuser lamp this morning and the printer is up and running again. Too bad Epson couldn't reword the error message to read something like: "Error 003 - replace fuser lamp"! Thanks for a great site. I'm recommending it to everyone I know that has a printer.
Tom
Well, chalk up another one. Your exit repair kit and fifteen minutes turned my $12.00 salvage-yard LJII purchase into a perfectly functioning, low-page-count, workhorse.
Thanks!

TJ - 5si Second Pass Roller
The printed instructions were very helpful but I could not have done it without using a combination of those instructions and the service manual. The service manual was great for pictures of components and getting the covers off. The printed instructions were particularly helpful once I got the PIU out because the service manual didn't go any further. I took my time, ( apprehensive I would screw something up & have a worse problem.) I cleaned everything I came across, labeled each component with its proper name, taped the screws to it, and set them in the order I took them off. I spent about 4 - 5 hours total and was so happy when I ran a paper path test of 50 pages of legal through tray 3 without a jam. I got a feather in my hat here at work. My supervisor said that 3 different people looked at the problem & over 3 years time, none of them fixed it. I've also been given the LJ printers in my dept. to maintain. There are five 5si, one 4V, two 4 Plus, one 4, and one IIP. I ordered the exit jam kit for the 4 Plus the other day. I expect that to be a breeze after the 5si. You'll probably remember me, I'm the girl in North Alabama who's going to be a printer tech eventually. With my first repair being a success, I'm hooked. I have gotten interested in printers by reading your forum. Every morning I get a coke & get updated on everyone else's printer problems. (from your site). Thanks again for being so generous with your knowledge. I couldn't have done it otherwise.
TJ
Dear Moe,
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone at Laser Service. I like the way you do business.
I have owned 2 HP Laserjet 4plus's since they first came out. All these years they have received minimal use compared to what they are rated for, but both are used in a pretty harsh environment. About a year ago I started having problems with paper handling. I took one to a HP service center and asked that they rebuild everything inside that affects paper handling. It came back, with a substantial charge, and worked a little bit better for about a week. I looked inside, I don't believe they changed any parts. Just cleaned.
For the past year I have opened one or the other up several times trying to clean things and replace parts that I had ordered from various places. Always with the same results, it would work better for about a week. I had even ordered some parts that I still have no idea where they go.
I didn't want to give up on these two machines so I started looking for a company like yourselves. Not really thinking I would find one. Well I did and ordered two HP Laserjet 4/4+/5 Exit Jam Repair Kits in May of 2001. I received them immediately and it was a pleasure to do business with your company. I didn't get around to giving them a try until this morning, partly because I had gotten used to using my ink jets in place of them and I had my doubts as to what I was getting for $39.00. I really did. I have spent a lot more and gotten a lot less in the past year.
The video tape is a great idea. I watched it once and then started on printer #1 referring to the tape when needed. I had such confidence in the repairs that when I finished #1 I didn't even hook it up and try it. Instead I went and got printer #2 and did that one. Both went smoothly, both are working better than they have in over a year, and I think they will stay that way for quite sometime. Once again I would just like to thank you for doing business as you do and I know a lot of people that I am going to be recommending you to.
Thank you,
Bob
Thank you for the prompt shipment of my HP IIP/IIP Inside Printer Accordion Jam Repair kit. Other than some difficulty getting the Apple printer apart, especially prying the side cover apart far enough to get the lower screw out and then pry the cover plate out of the way, the replacement went ok and corrected the problem. Thanks for providing an economical means to repair relatively simple problems. A local shop quoted $100 labor just to look at the unit and then charge for whatever parts would be needed.
I'll recommend you to all of my friends.
Regards,
Wayne

Re: Did you receive faxed order?
Just a quick note to tell you of yet another success story with the 5L/6L Multiple Sheet Feed repair kit. The video was great in demonstrating how to fix this. Very complete! 5L works as good as when I got it 5 years ago. Thanks for providing such a great service for a very reasonable price. I will visit your website first before I go anywhere else with any printer problem. Was about ready to throw out the printer until this fix...now it should be good for another 5 years.
Thanks
Steve
I received my HP IIIp 52 Service Error Repair Kit today. This evening I played the CD-ROM video and did the repair. It took a little over an hour and it was easy to follow your step-by-step instructions. My printer now works great again.
Thank you for delivering a great, easy to use, product.
Joe
Hello ,
The repair went well and I am no longer having the error 52. I am thankful to you because I could not find this part in this wonderful land of technology :) and you were the top result when I made a search in Altavista. It just took 15 minutes after watching the video. I should say that I am very pleased and satisfied with the service and its delivery time. I believe that it will be better for everyone to try and see that it is really usefull.

Everything worked like a charm for my HP IIP - fixed two error (12 and 50) with two kits! Great! - George

Just what the Web is for...
Moe...
Let me add my words to the other words of appreciation.
My Laserjet IIIp was put back into service after two years in a box. Error 52 popped up and the HP site had no solution save for a note from a guy working at a printer repair house. He estimated $100 for the scanner assy.
Then I found your site. It was a matter of 45 seconds (let me repeat: 45 seconds!) to find the kit and another minute to order it and get it on its way.
Sure, I ended up with one spare screw (my fault; I'll trace it down later), but your video and part did the job. I purchased a 3.6V power driver for the job ($20) and a long steel bit ($2) and magnetized it, which made the job a whole lot easier. That, plus the $50 for the scanner motor assy. is still 30 bucks less than I could have paid. And I got a nice new screwdriver out of it. Thanks for a great site and a great service. This is exactly what the web is made for!
Bill
Thank you for suppling me with an inexpensive solution to my accordion paper jam problem on my LaserWriter 16/600. Works great now. Will recommend you to anybody I come across with similar problems.

Hi Moe,
Thanks to the diagnostic information on your website and the scanner motor kit, my Apple PLW NTR is back up and running! I figured the CDROM version of the fix it video was the best choice - I had Movieplayer running on my Mac and paused the video now and then while I replaced the part.
Great job y'all!

Moe,
I just finished repair of my HP 5L stack of paper kit. The parts were simple enough but without your video I could not have gotten there. I repair most of my own stuff and your help was great.
Thanks,

super super fast shipping, clean straigh forward and easy to understand directions, hoping it works, but I'm impressed with your service.
Thanks!

I just wanted to tell you that I am very pleased with the two products I recently purchased from you: drum wiper (smudge repair) for Oki OL400 and drum drive gear assy for HPIIP. I have just completed the installation of both, following your simple but clear instructions and both printers have been restored to full health. Your practical approach and reasonable prices set a positive example. Now, if you could just come up with a drum wiper repair for the Oki OL400E........
Thanks again.

Hi:
The kit came. We followed your video. MY PRINTER WORKS!! Just like that I'm back in business! I LOVE my old Apple 360 workhorse printer (and need it urgently), but it finally let me down in the middle of a big job. Your directions were perfect. Your kit worked.
Thanks so much.

Moe,
I recently ordered the HP 5L/6L paper jam kit from you. Last night after studying the video I went through the repair procedure (which was not as difficult as I anticipated) reconnected the printer and eagerly awaited my first print. Shock horror - The error light came on and stayed on. I re-examined the video and checked all the connectors/sensors etc.
It was not until 10 minutes later that I realised I'd forgotten to replace the toner cartridge (Dohh !) - The printer now works fine, just like new.
Many thanks
Richard
Just wanted to thank you folks for a very helpful overall service. I had an HP LaserJet 3P that served me well for 10 years then about 2 years ago stopped working. Had it not been for your web site and generous help (not to mention excellent service on parts), it probably would have ended up in the trash. I ordered the parts you recommended and followed the CD's instructions and in 30 minutes I had an old friend back!
Thanks!

Hi All,
Just installed your feed roller kit in my HP 5L and printed a 350 page document. ZERO jams! WOW!

I recently purchased your kit for pickup jam repair of the Apple LaserWriter II. Your kit and video was great - very easy to follow with instruction anyone could do. | HP-5L/6L Multi Sheet/No Feed Kit |
Moe-
I had almost given up on my HP 6L- which always did a nice job printing- but has been eating pages for a long time. It was becoming such a pain, that I was to the point of scrapping it and buying a new LP. When I read how HP wasn't standing behind their bad design with a solid fix- I did a little research. Found your site- and ordered the HP-5L/6L Multi Sheet/No Feed Kit on a Wednesday, received it on Friday. Installation couldn't have been easier- it took no time at all, and was straight-forward. Video was especially helpful. Working like a champ now. I'll tell everyone I know about your site- and, btw- next printer I buy will not be an HP.
Thanks Again-
JT
Just a quick e-mail to tell you how pleased I am with the 6L repair kit you sent me. The video was great so the job went smoothly. Oh how I wish I new about you guys last year when I threw away my LaserJet 3 because I couldn't find anyone to fix it.
Jim
I just replaced the upper and lower rollers in the fuser assembly of my Laserwriter Pro 630 with your parts and video tape. It was one of the more difficult repairs I've attempted but it went well. The printer is working fine again.
Thanks

HP LJ III-P service 52 error kit
Another satisfied customer. I had picked up an LJiiiP from a neighbor cheap with the caveat that it had a service error code. From a web search I found repair kits from $149 to your $49 and ordered one from you, and talked the seller down to $50.
Replacement wasn't that bad, but somehow I ended up with two extra screws; but good news, it works like a charm. The scanner motor board was fried underneath just like the video and the new one works great. On the III-P the laser assy is not overlapping the scanner as shown in the video, which only made things easier.
Works like a champ and I have a functional IIIP for just over $100. Thank you, thank you, thank you. With refurbs going for nearly $300 or more this was a great deal for me for home use. Will suggest your site to work since we have never attempted printer repairs before.
Great job.
Jeff
My HPLJ 5L is working perfectly! Thanks so much. The video really helped me through a rather intricate procedure.

Your LaserWriter Select 360 video worked perfectly for my fading problem. Followed along and cleaned the mirrors and it prints like new. Thanks for such a useful product at a reasonable cost.

Moe,
I was ready to throw out my Epson Stylus Color 800 inject because the print heads were constantly clogging. Print quality continued to decline and my frustrations continued to rise. Thanks again,

Just got my Error 52 kit for my HPIIIp. Watched the great video than played/stopped during the repair. Worked great when I was finished. Your site and video was great. Thanks for your product

Just to say I spent this afternoon fitting the exit jam repair kit on my printer. This wasn't too hard and the printer now works fine. Love the idiosyncratic video (apart from the focusing on the close-ups) and your service.
You're doing a really great job. Thanks very much.
Mike
Moe,
You can chalk up another satisfied customer. My error 52 problem was solved by your kit, which arrived in NY three days after I ordered it. I had debated throwing the printer away and going for a shiny new model, but decided for $50 I could give your kit a try. The video was clear, and I fixed it in a little over an hour. I hope I get many more years of good service out of my trusty HP IIP.
Thanks,
Gene

Your 5L + 6L multi-sheet paperfeed tape + parts worked like a charm.
Watched the tape once yesterday and today followed the tape and fixed the printer.
Took me about an hour.
The only hangup I had was the output paper path button. The paper was coming out on the bottom. I didn't hook the button on the bar and had to take the cover off and re-seat it.
Feel free to add this to your Testimonials.

Thakyou from Chelmsford England!
Call out fee - my foot! I know my HP laserjet III inside out after it was muddled together fromtwo broken machines. Recently it has taken to showing a "51 error" - fixed mostly by slamming the lid shut! A local HP dealer said it needed a new toner and so I got one. Tonight that didn't fix it and so I typed "hp III 51" into google. Less than five minutes later your "tweak page" has led to a complete repair of the printer. I have been using the old cartridge for four years and it is still going strong. Now that I have a new one I guess I won't need to buy another one until Hilliary Clinton is running for president and the printer is still going strong!
Very many thanks!
Dr. G.
I received the LaserJet repair kit, followed the instructions on the CD, and had complete success with no parts left over.
Thanks.
Jim
Hi, I got the lamp, followed your instructions and my printer is up and running....you guys are great!
I'll tell my IT friends.
thanks,
Dave
I got the sheet feed repair kit for the HP 3100 yesterday and installed it without a problem thanks to the video! The only suggestion I would make on the video is having users place the screws into something like an egg carton to help with the re-assembly process.
Thanks again.

Thanks for the fantastic repair Kit
Hi Moe,
I had a lot of trouble with my HP Laserjet 5l paper feed feeding 10- 20 sheets at once. After some Newsgroup search I found your adress an your offer of the Paperfeed repair-kit. I could not find any similar offer in Europe, so I ordered your repair kit. I am really happy about it. I fixed my printer within 30 minutes and it works fantastic. Thanks for the great video. It saved me a lot of hours trying to reassemble the machine.
Jochen
Life is good again. I've been enduring my HP 1100 sucking in multiple sheets for what seems like ages. Took my 5 minutes to install your 1100 kit. BAM! The world is a much happier place. Thanks a load, HP just played dumb when i asked them about it. Pardon me while i go do a Rocky down the hallway.
Rob
Ok guys, my hp5L had been sitting for a year and a half cause I wasn't going to pay the up front $100 plus parts and shipping to get it fixed by any of the half dozen places I contacted. I finally found a place that sold a "kit" ( no video or instructions) for $80 + shipping. Heck at that rate I might as well pay somebody the $100 bucks cause I'm not sure I can fix this thing. Then lo and behold I stumble on to you guys. $29.95 with an instructional video, RIGHT,,,,,,,,,,,to good to be true but what the heck it's only 30 bucks.
What a breeze,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I'm almost hoping something else on the damn thing will break! Well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,almost.

Moe,
I have an HP Laserjet IIP that I've had for over 10 years. I've put a lot of money into it with memory upgrades, added paper tray and had to take it to a shop once because of spilled toner (don't ask). When I started getting Error 12 - No toner or Door Open, I was debating if I should just junk it. I figured a shop would charge me a minimum of $150. After surfing on the internet for tips on repairing it myself, I found your site. What a Goldmine! You guys are great. I ordered your kit and fixed it in 15 minutes. I also followed your tips and checked my Drum Drive Clutch and Exit Roller. They both need replacing so I'll be ordering that from you soon. I have a few inkjets lying around which I'm going to fix also. Thanks again.
Reggie
Hi,
I found you guys just by accident, but I'm glad I did. I thought I'd never be able to use my Apple LaserWriter II again after buying a G4, but I found a serial port adapter card and was able to get my printer online again. However, the paper wouldn't feed into the printer anymore. I did a search online and fixyourownprinter.com came up.
You addressed the exact problem I was having and I ordered the repair kit. Your step-by-step instructions video was so much better than a written manual. The printer that I bought in 1989 for $1800.00 is back and working better than ever.
Great job! I will recommend you to everyone I know.
Sincerely,
Mike

HP IIP Error 52 repair kit, thank you.
Your kit and video work surprisingly well.
Thank you.
Oleg
I just wanted to say thank you!!! I had the infamous service error 52 on my HP IIIP. The kit fixed my problem and saved me atleast $100. The video was very informative and it took about an hour to complete. I highly recommend this to anyone who has the basic mechanical skills and two screwdrivers. It sure beats those high priced repair facilities!!
Thanks again,
Steve

RE: HPLJ4 Printing is Blurry...
Moe,
Got a "brand new" formatter board off eBay for $20 (can you believe that!!)!! Seems to have fixed the problem!! Thanks for your help!!!!
I appreciate the free tech support, and would have made the purchase from you if you sold those...
Thanks again!!!
Rob
Thankyou very much for your help in fixing my ptinter smearing problem. I was considering buying a new drum assembly for my 10 year old GCC PLPII when I came across your site. The first hit I got for the OL400 smearing problem was in fact my problem and it was fixed by installing the wiper you sent me.
Thankyou
George
I just wanted you to know how easy it was for me to replace the ink supply unit with the CD and the replacement that you sent me.
Thank you very much.

Moe,
First ... Thanks!!! Your repair kit and instruction video for the Multi-page feed problem on our HP LaserJet 6L was great! My 8 year old son and Cub Scout earned credit toward his Bear Cub Achievement goals by helping me fix our printer using your repair kit and instructional video. He did most of the repair himself thanks to your video. Now our printer works as good as new thanks to you ... and my 3rd grader!!!
Again, thanks a bunch for creating and selling the repair kit for the LaserJet 6L!!!!

HP LaserJet 5L/6L Multiple-Sheet/No Feed Repair Kit
Dear Moe,
I felt compelled to tell you at fixyourownprinter.com how satisfied I was. My HP Laserjet 5L is like new. The kit fixed my problem and the instruction video was easy to follow. I must have saved at least $100.00.
The kit came in the mail within two days. I was able to install the kit inside of an hour, just great!!!!!!
Thanks
Richard
Dear Moe,
That old HP 6P cost me around $750.00 back in 1996, when I bought it to help me start a law practice. Then it started up with the "accordian rolls" and weird melted blobs on the paper. For thirty bucks, she's back in business.
Congratulations on a terrific product, and thank you for providing a much-needed service.
Joe
Within one week I received the HP LaserJet 5L/6L Multiple-Sheet/No Feed Repair Kit at my address in Denmark, I installed the kit under excellent guidance from the video and now the printer works perfectly. GREAT!
Thanks a lot
Henrik
I found your site about 6 months ago. Book-marked it. I had just gotten a used HP LaserJet 4000 - what a sweet machine - with about 180K on the engine, never been serviced. Was working fine for awhile, then started experiencing Tray 2 pickup jams. I had to start feeding pages one by one into the manual tray because the separation pad in the manual tray was worn out, too. What a drag.
Got both kits (pickup rollers, separation pad) from your company after a quick, easy on-line order. Installed them and was extremely pleased to find that both problems were solved. It was especially nice to watch the well-defined and accurate movement of single sheets of paper from the manual feed tray, whereas before several sheets would move at a time, and often the whole stack of 15 or 20 sheets would get sucked in and jam the printer. Thank you for providing great, straightforward, helpful products and service. Your site is "the number 2 site on the internet," after my personal favorite, http://www.dslreports.com .
Thanks,
Sam
Dear FYOP.com
Last Monday my HP 4MP bombed out. I prowled around the web, thinking I'd have to bring it or send it somewhere. I did not look forward to being without my printer for a couple of weeks or more (also, did not look forward to sinking big repair bucks into this 8 year old printer). Somehow I stumbled on to your site. I was able to diagnose the problem (broken drive gear on motor) quickly and order a replacement through you, evening of Monday, Nov. 11. You sent the part out the next day. I had it Thursday (I am in Massachusetts), and by Thursday evening, my 14 year old daughter had installed the replacement, following the instructions from your video CD. Works great now. All in all, a very satisfying experience - thanks for your help.
Nick
Your business is incredible!!!!!
I had no problem fixing my printer using the CDRom that came with the part.
You guys are GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks,
Bill
Just ordered your kit for 5L/6L multi sheet problem (separation rollers). Video helped a lot and helped me get the job done perfectly. Thanks for a great solution to a common problem. I called HP first and they wanted $25 to talk with me further, much less actually fix the problem. Your solution was faster better and cheaper. Great job.
David
Moe,
The motor fixed the code 57 problem on my LJ4. The gears were fine.
Very pleased with the fixyourownprinter's speedy delivery and excellent CD instructions. Made what would have otherwise been an impossible job for me a snap. In addition to saving a pile of money, it was satisfying to have this DYI repair turn out so well.
Thanks again.
Len
Hello,
I just finished installing the HP LaserJet II/III Pickup Jam Repair Kit. At first I thought the cost was too much for the parts. However the CD video was well worth it. I would not hesitate to recommend your products. The printer appears to work again. Thank you for an excellent product.
Regards,
Todd
PS The kit arrived the day after it was ordered!
Moe,
A short note to tell you how pleased I am with your service. The repair kit I ordered for my HP Laserjet 5L arrived today and is already installed and working. And it works great!
I was especially pleased with the installation video. No fancy stuff, just honest "how to" instructions which were complete in every way. Even the police siren at about the 18 - 19 minute point in the video was so realistic that my wife went to our front window to investigate what the problem was. It was only when I paused the video to join her that we realized that it was at your place, not ours!!!!!
Thanks for the great product and the excellent service.

Thank you, problem fixed!
Dear Laser Service:
I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how pleased I was with your service. When my HP Laserjet IIIp kept paper jamming, I thought I would have to retire the printer. I found your website, reviewed the printer problem, your diagnosis, and ordered the Accordion Jam repair kit. The kit arrived in just two days, and it only took about 20 minutes to replace the part (I was somewhat leery about doing the repair myself, but your photo-instructions were great and the printer works fine now).
I've bookmarked your site, will definitely use your services again, and will be telling my business colleagues and friends about how easy it was to make this repair.
Thanks, again.

Thanks for the Great Video
My father-in-law's HP LaserJet 3150's print quality went rapidly downhill, to the point where it was unacceptable. The repair shop wanted $95 just to look at it. I did a Google search and found your site, and ordered your Blurry/Faded Print Repair Video for $19.95. I'd never before gotten into the innards of a living laser printer before, for fear of screwing it up, but your video made it look easy. Last Sunday night I took the plunge, cracked open the machine, and was done in 45 minutes. Print quality is back to where it was when new, and I'm ready to repeat the process if the laser diode lens ever fogs up again.
Thanks for a great resource.
Bob
Here's a quick note to say that I purchased your HP 6L multiple sheet/no feed kit, and it worked perfectly; video was good and absolutely essential. Your company performs a valuable service! Thank you very much !!!

Re: Package Shipped to You
Hi,
Just to let you know my package arrived this week. In the meantime, I would like to thank you for the excellent service offered. You guys rock! The video material was professional and very clear. I became hopeless over the last months, not being able to fix my printer. With your kit, I changed everything and now my printer works like new.
Kind regards,
Peter
I never thanked you for a great product.. Our printer had been experiencing intermittent paper feed problems for a long time. I dreaded taking it to a local repair shop and figured sending it somewhere we'd be out of a printer for at least a few weeks. The problem finally got to the point where I couldn't ignore it (or my wife's pleas to fix it ore replace it) anymore so I went online searching for some place I could send it. That's when I stumbled across your site which had an exact description of the problem (and kit to fit it). I figured it wasn't much of a gamble to try since it's basically a pretty good printer. Although I consider myself pretty handy mechanically (PhD engineer), I wouldn't have had a chance without the great CD video you provided which walked my through the whole process. The printer has worked hassle-free for months now.
Thanks again..
Paul G.
hello moe , thanks for your help. your wedsite is very good, it can help me solve many problem. thank you.

How can I ever thank you enough?! Months, if not years of swearing and stress resolved in 5 minutes. Yes, yes, yeeeessssss!

Hiya,
Just wanted to e-mail to say thanks! I bought your accordian exit feed kit for a Laserjet 4 and it was perfect, perfect instructions and perfect kit! Many thanks!
Now for the next one - I also have an HP Office Jet (ancient one - about 7 years old), and the paper feed is terrible on it, most of the time it fails to pick up a sheet of paper. Do you have any sort of kit for this printer?
Linus
You guys are great! Not only was the order prompt, the instructional Video worked great in my laptop wheile I did the work. Took about an hour. And no more wrinkled bottoms on the paper output. Probably saved one hundred or more bucks. I do wish the video was a little larger, image-wise for closeups. But it did its job.
Thanks-
Kevin
Hi,
I recently ordered a repair kit from you folks for an Apple Laserwriter. I was extremely impressed with the entire experience. By the way, the printer now works fine (this comes after paying $100 bucks to a local shop to have them tell me it was so bad I should replace it!).
Anyway, I'm also contacting you because I'm wondering how your business is doing and how well known your service is...I'm a computer industry writer and marketing/PR consultant. Maybe I can help you get the word out!!!
Best Regards,

HP 4L Motor Replacement Kit
Hello,
I ordered your HP 4L motor replacement kit and video on monday and received it on thursday. I just wanted to tell you that 20 minutes after dropping the CD into my computer and watching the video that I had a functional printer! This thing has been sitting on a shelf for a year solely because I never got around to disposing of it. By some quirk I thought I would browse around on the internet and see if I could find anything on the printer. I came across your site and figured what the hell, I had $300.00 in toner cartridges lying around so another $46.00 was no great loss if it did not work.
Your diagnostic description on the site was dead on and the video extremely easy to follow. For a minimal cost I think I will get another couple years out of this 9 year old printer.
Thanks for having a truly useful site!!
Doug
A satisfied customer. My printer is up and running. I would have been lost without the video.
Thanks,
Richard
thanks for the part and the movie. It worked out great. Best Karl.
Dear Cindy
Many thanks for your superb service. I received the parts and the video today, and the Laserwriter is fixed. Fixyourownprinter.com is great! I negelected to mention that I had already spent about double what you charged getting 'accredited repair agents' to try and do the same thing that I was able to do in 45 minutes with your easy-to-follow video.
When I connected the printer, it did not work at first. Glaring at it and turning if off and on did the trick, but first I looked for a 'Troubleshooting' bit at the end of the video. That might be a neat addition ...
Thanks again. Do you have related sites for fixing Macs, videos, mobile phones, maybe even cars? :)
Regards, from a very satisfied customer.
Greig
Your web site is a fantastic resource, and for $1 my Deskjet 820 is working good-as-new now. That roller rejuvenator stuff is magic.

Hi Moe,
I just wanted to thank you and congratulate you on the outstanding product you supplied to me. Nearly 10 years ago I purchased a HP LaserJet IIIP for a substantial amount of money. Recently I began receiving an error 52 when printing. I thought I was going to have to pay lots of money to have it fixed, since it was such an old printer. I looked the error up in the manual and found the term "Scanner Malfunction," but it didn't offer much help as to how to fix it. As I did some research on the error, I found that the scanner needed to be replaced. When I began searching on the internet for the error, I came across your site, "fixyourownprinter.com" and found the exact part that I needed. Not only did you supply the part, but also a helpful step by step video on how to replace the part. When I received the product, I couldn't believe how simple it was to follow the steps on the video and replace the part. Now the printer works great and and I'm back in business, for a fraction of the cost.
Thank you so much for your great service.
Jeff
Dear Moe:
I got your video and repair part in just a couple of days and accomplished the repair in about a half hour -- with the help of your great video, of course.
This is a wonderful service you are providing. I really enjoyed the experience of fixing my own printer and would highly recommend it to anyone.
BTW, would you like to have the video back so that you can send it on to someone else? I would be happy to send it back to you along with the old density control board, just in case you can recycle anything from that, too. Just say the word and I'll drop both in the mail.
Thanks again for your great service. If and when I ever have any more problems with my printer, you can be sure that I'll be contacting you again and again.
Harold

Not a question, but a thank you
I am so thrilled! After 8 years of trusty service, my DEClaser 1152 started jamming. There's no one in my area who will even look at a printer for repair, so I turned to the Internet, assuming I'd have to ship the printer somewhere to be fixed. The search engine returned your testimonial page, with a note from someone else who owns a DEClaser and successfully repaired it with one of your kits. Well, it worked for me, too! I got my kit within two days, the instructions were crystal clear, and my printer works perfectly again. Best 24 bucks I ever spent.
Thanks,
Amy
I would like to thank you for your service. I ordered a repair kit (with video) for my Laserjet printer from you and, although the quality of the recording was poor at times, I had no trouble following the instructions. My printer works perfectly now.
Thank you again.
Peter
Hi,
Just a note to let you know your parts kit worked GREAT! The video was very easy to follow and my Laser Jet Printer is like NEW again in less than an hour. No more accordion paper wasted, and it saved me from buying a new printer! Thanks.

740 printer workin' fine!
Moe --
Amazing--a few drops of oil on the carriage rail, and the printer's as good as new! Thank you very, very much for the advice! I was seriously going to trash the 740 because I thought it would cost more for anyone to even look at it than the printer was worth! You did a really good deed by answering my e-mail.

Thanks for all of your help
Couldn't find where to post testimonials so thought I'd send you an email...
Was having intermittant error 52 problems with my HPlllP printer. Found your site online searching for what an error 52 was. Purchased your kit several months ago and finally took the time to install the scanner motor board (my printer worked intermittantly, but finally decided not to print anymore, so I felt it was time to do the install). Took about 1/2 hour for the install, which included watching your instruction tape first...then rewinding and pausing for each step as I was installing the board. Instruction tape was outstanding. Re-connected printer and it worked without any problems. HP wanted mega-bucks just to look at printer. Spent the $54 for your kit (probably cheaper than the UPS charges it would have cost for the round trip shipping...not to mention the repair costs). It's the best $54 I've spent for computer hardware in 25 years.
Printer works like new...thanks.
Barry
moe,
i had two separate hp laser 4 problems. i called some repair dealers for parts - got no where. they thought i was crazy for wanting to replace the parts myself. hey, i can peel a banana! searched the net - found your site. ordered two kits (late at night). received them the second day. watched the videos - both kits done in one hour - piece of cake. turned the hp on and tested - damn right it works!
thanks for the efficiencies and convenience.

Dear Sir,
My wife and I had wanted a laser printer but did not want to pay a lot of money for one. Well we found one at a Goodwil store for $20 and we bought it not knowing that it didnot work. Well I thought that I had just ate the $20 til I found Your website. Thank You very much for your fast service. The printer works great now. A lot better than the old ImageWriterII that was being used.
Thanks
Van and Pearl
Moe--
Thanks for shipping my order so fast. Got the part yesterday, and watched your video last night. I performed the repair this afternoon in about 45 min. Now my printer is working great again.
Thanks!
Michael
Moe:
Two or three years ago my HP LaserJet 5L was pulling 5-6 sheets at a time. It cost me between $120 to $150 to repair it and it was a hassle to boot:
I had to drive it to an industrial park in the middle of nowhere; wait a week for service; and when I returned to pick it up, found that they had given it to someone else!
So when this multifeed problem came up again, I was tempted to shuck the printer and buy a new one. But I searched the Web instead and found you.
I ordered a multifeed correction kit on a Friday and got it in the mail the following Monday. The video won't win any Oscars, but it did the trick and the printer works flawlessly -- all for $34 and with less than an hour's worth of work
Man, that's satisfying! Thanks for a great product and service!
Best wishes,
Jonathan
I would like to congratulate you on an excellent web site. I have been having the usual paper pick up fault on my HP LaserJet 5L printer, a fault which I consider unacceptable on an otherwise excellent printer. I decided to replace the pickup roller assemble and the separation pad kit however after taking my printer apart upon close inspection the pickup roller looked ok so I cleaned it with a substance called Platen. This cleans and restores grip to rollers. After putting the printer back together it was showing the constant amber light as though it was not detecting paper. After reading various e-mail responses on your site one mentioned making sure the blue cable at the rear of the printer was seated correctly. I unplugged the cable and found that the socket had been pushed back, so the connector was not actually plugged into it. After re-seating this all was ok and the printer is now picking up paper correctly. Thanks again you saved my printer having unnecessary flying lessons.
Phil
I just wanted to thank you for offering a fix for my printer. It was well worth the 30 bucks. Also the video was well done. Its simple and clear. It was pleasureable to be led through the fix so smoothly. From experience I know that these sorts of videos are tough to make right because something can be not shown or miscommunicated to the viewer. But this video was right.
Thanks again,
Nick

Hi there,
I recently ordered the HPIIP/IIIP No Paper Pickup Repair Kit. It arrived very quickly (about 1 week to Canada). The video was easy to follow and I completed the repair in under 30 minutes. My HP IIP Plus no longer has any problem picking up paper from the front tray. Fixing my own printer gave me a real sense of accomplishment and spared me quite a few dollars in costly repair services. I'd heartily recommend your products to anyone interested in saving time and money.
Sincerely,
Nicolas
I ordered the HP 5L kit. I installed it within minutes of getting home from work. The video is a great idea. The kit works great. You offer a great service!!!
Keep up the good work!!!
Thank you,
Ken
Hi, I thought I would let you know I got the video and have just finished the installation. Everything went well but I would not recommend this for the faint of heart. Without your video I probably would have got the thing apart, but putting it back would have been another matter. Your video is very good. I set up a table in front of the TV and did a lot of pausing and partial rewinding, but like I said the job went well and the printer works fine.
Looking at the old parts, the rubber on the feed roller shows cracking typical of a dried out condition. The separators seem to have worn smooth which probably explains why some people in the newsgroup are having luck using contact cement. Hopefully this will last a while. Incidentally I purchased the printer in October of '95 and am still on the original toner.

Hi,
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for your repair kit and video! I was able to fix my "multiple-sheet/no feed" problem on my HP 5L printer without any problems. The video was great, I just followed along and I was done in 20 minutes. Running across your site through a search engine saved me a lot of money...that I am sure of. I'm glad to be able to use my laser printer once again, it's cheaper to use than my ink jet is! :-)
Thanks again!
Scott
I just want to thank you...
I have an HP LaserJet 5L that developed the multiple-feed problem.
I found your site via a posting I made on comp.sys.hp.hardware.
I ordered the repair kit, and it was promptly delivered.
I followed your instructions, and, despite my being a klutz, I managed to
complete the repair without smashing anything, or bleeding. The repair seems to have worked.
It is a sad commentary on our society that such a success is rare.
Thanks and best wishes.
Charlie
Moe - Your services are definitely a blessing to all of us out here supporting old equipment. As you know, schools have very limited resources. Thanks again.

The repairkit and the video are great. Congratualion, its a good stuff! It was easy to repair my printer and he works like a new one - wunderfull!

Just wanted you to know that I replaced the scanner motor successfully in my IIP+ last night. The video made it very easy. It was also educational seeing how all the parts fit together--it looks like these things can operate indefinitely so long as we can get the parts!
Thanks for the help. BTW was that you in the video?

Moe,
While waiting for an answer to a call I placed to you on Tuesday afternoon to report that the bulb in my "Blinking Light Repair Kit" had failed, I checked my watch and realized it was 5:10PM, probably right around your "go home" time. You not only answered the phone, but had me floored when the replacement arrived the following day. How did you do that via the snail express?
I thought that I was the only guy left who was this big a jerk when trying to keep my customers satisfied. I am pleased to know that there is at least one other guy out there who actually gives a $*&!. Nice work Moe, it is appreciated!
Everything is working fine now. I enjoyed our conversation and wish you the best in trying to combat the lousy !%>#$@* that lacks the imagination to do something original, opting to rip off your ideas and web site content. Anyone this lazy will NOT prevail (or at least I keep telling myself that!). What goes around comes around I am told, but I sometimes wonder how big the "round" is, and how long I must wait to see it happen.
Thank you very much for your help. I wish you the best of luck and continued success.
Gordon
Moe,
I ordered a 4MV fuser roller repair kit on Friday and it arrived today in the UK! After a bit of confusion over whether it was the correct part (this was coloured red, the original is silver, and I thought I saw a red roller in the printer, but I was wrong!), my colleague has just fitted the roller following the instructional CD-ROM and we're back in action! The old roller really was duff (torn in two places) and without your services we'd have been spending at least double the cost in getting an exchange fuser unit...
One thing, though, do you supply the fuser lamp for the 4MV, as it occurred to me that this may be the next thing to go? The video showed replacement of little plastic paper guides and the black rubber roller - are these available items (in case our OTHER 4MV goes wonky?!) ;-)))
We'll certainly do business again in the future!
Thanks
Keith

Re: laserwriter select cleanup...
I just wanted to let you know that we finally got around to cleaning out our printer using your instructions.
We took everything apart, put it back together again and only busted one tab on the little glass tray and mucked up a screw. We also had to go backwards a bit because we screwed the black tray down onto the multicolored wires. But now everything is hooked up, and printing wonderfully!
Your instructions were great--we stopped the movie and replayed as we went, so we didnt' get lost, and used duct tape to keep the screws together.
With all the dusting (I think there was enough inside to create a whole new life form) and cleaning, it's like we have a brand new printer. Now we can reset the margins on our documents.
Thanks again!

Successful HP Laserjet 5L mutiple paper feed kit repair
Dear Moe,
I finally got a few quiet hours after the holidays to view your repair video and install your repair kit on my old HP 5L. My 5L has been balky for years but late last year it finally refused to take up any paper. It took me two tries to get everything working right -- the first time I must have not got something right because I heard a loud 'grinding' type of noise when I powered up the unit. I quickly unpowered it, disassembled it to the point of taking out the shaft with the cams on it, made sure everything was oriented right, then put it back together, making sure all the gearing was latching. I was pretty sure I had killed my printer, but when I powered it up the second time, the unit purred quietly. I haven't given it a big workout yet, but it has printed several pages very nicely, without taking all the paper in the input tray ;-) Even if it stops working tomorrow, the satisfaction in getting it to work at least ONCE more like it is supposed to was well worth the cost of the repair kit. Thanks again for your help. The video was very informative and enjoyable. About the only thing on my unit that differed from the video was that there was only one e-clip to take off the shaft (one of your other customers > had a similar remark).
Best regards,
John
Spent 4 hours (actually needed only 2.5 hours, but becuz i carelessly left out the glass lens when first closing up the box, i had to re-open, lodge then dislodge a screw from the platen gears, and reseal) and ended up with perfect printer.
Thank u! A fine product at an outstanding price.
Chris
You are a genius. I put the board in again, but this time, I gently hammered it in a little bit further, and when I ran the self test, the extra memory appeared. I can now print web pages with mixed text and graphics that I could not print before. Thanks to your Error 52 kit, my printer is working again after being dead for about 5 years. I am not real mechanically inclined, but the videotape showed me how to fix it in about an hour. Please feel free to use this in your praise from customers section.
Sincerely,
Leon

Separator pad replacement - SUCCESS!!
Hi Moe,
Just a quick note to say that I have successfully replaced the separator pads on my 5L using your video and kit, and initial observations would suggest that the operation has been a complete success. :-)
Your video is excellent - very clear and easy to follow. Well done on putting together an excellent package. I'll make sure I get myself one of those rotating tables next time!!
I only noticed one thing which didn't quite go according to the video. When I replaced the roller assembly the black plastic rollers either side of the main rubber roller pressed down on the large separator pad, causing the wide metal plate behind it to spring up. I remember when I removed the roller assembly that the metal plate was still secured in place until I pressed down the large separator pad to release it. However, on replacing the roller assembly there was no way that I could get the wide metal plate to stay in its "retained" position. Since putting the printer back together, I notice that there is a little resistance when I put paper in the rear loader slot. I used to just drop the paper in but now I have to apply a slight downwards pressure on the paper to seat it fully into place and cancel the paper out light. I would assume that this is a result of the wide metal plate being under pressure from its spring? Does it sound like I've done something wrong or is this to be expected?
All the best,
Simon
Hi Simon,It's kind of hard to say what you did wrong without seeing it. Too many things can be put together wrong. That's why we sell a video with the kit and go into great detail on each step. My only suggestion is to re do it and pay closer attention to the video and all the cautions against making any mistakes that we tried to put into it. You can't always cover every possibility but we try. Good luck.
-Moe
Hi Moe,
Don't get me wrong, I think the video is fantastic and it certainly couldn't go into any more detail than it already does. I actually went over the relevant part of the video a number of times, and am sure I did everything right. At the end of the day the printer is working just fine, which is all that I'm concerned about. A big thank you for your wonderful service - I was genuinely considering buying a new printer before I found your website so you've saved me c. UKP250 at least. :-))
All the best,
Simon
Wow, this is unusual. 3 days is the longest it ever took. I hope they didn't lose it, it would be the first.
-Moe
It arrived today (postmarked last Friday, just as promised!). There is a *reason* why we refer to the post office as "snail mail." < G >
Anyway, everything went in perfectly, no problems, and the printer works like a charm. I am VERY pleased. Thanks very much.
I did take the liberty of dropping the following msg to the comp.periphs.printers newsgroup.
- - - - - -
Well, after years of faithful service, it happened. In a week when everything else seemed to break also, my HP IIP+ suddenly decided to pop up with the dreaded ERROR 52 (instead of the printout I wanted).
So, off to http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/ to see what the problem might
be, and if it was worth fixing. Hmmm, motor controller. $49 plus $6 shipping... it's already after 5 pm Friday (central daylight time), but I can risk the $55 bucks. So I put in an order.Saturday morning I check my e:mail. There is a note from Moe (moe@laser-service.com) that my package has already shipped, expect it Monday! Durn... I can't get *that* fast of service at a McDonalds drive-through! < G >
Well, the package didn't come Monday, nor Tuesday. Wednesday it arrived. Look at the date... Yep, it was stamped Priority Mail by the post office back on Friday. Can't blame Moe for the fact that the USPS thinks that 5 days is speedy!
Inside is the replacement part, and a video showing the disassembly/assembly of the printer. I watch the video... Hmmm... not a Harrison Ford epic, not even a Lucas/Spielberg production - but every piece of information needed is there (even though the part I need to replace is buried DEEP in the bowels of the printer).
Take everything apart, replace part, reinstall everything, stand in amazement that I don't have any parts left over, test printer -- works like a charm.
I couldn't be happier with the service (or the success). Frankly, anyone who can tell a screwdriver from a hammer could follow the taped instructions.
I HIGHLY recommend Moe and his crew!!!

To whom it may concern:
I just wanted to let you know I have received the repair kit and have installed the new roller. Thanks for the kit and the video. If the amount of attention I paid to the video--the number of times I replayed scenes, is the standard, then your video is head and shoulders above the videos we rent on week-ends--definitely four stars!
Thanks for the help,
David
Hi,
Thank's for the kit to repair my HP 1100 Laserjet. It worked perfectly.
Marc
Hi Moe,
Thank you very much for the 3P repair Kit & video CD received today.
Posted 7 Aug, received in Australia 14 Aug.
Scanner motor was successfully replaced in less than 30 minutes thanks to your instructions. Fantastic.
Query. I have a HP C3150A (5P) that is dead. Any suggestions? Do you have any Power supply circuit diagrams?
Thanks again
Colin
I bought your paper feed kit for an Apple Laserwriter II. I found your video easy to follow. It worked! The machine had only 54K impressions on it. Are feeder problems common on these machines with so few copies?
Thanks for your product/service!
Phil
I just wanted to thank you for having this website, you saved me over $1100, by repairing my hp1100, I loved the way you shipped the order, and how clear and easy to follow the directions were. Now I can print again have you considered fixyourowncar.com?
Thanks again

Re: Package Shipped to You
Dear All
Many thanks the package/Density board arrived safely today (very quick shipment!) fitting was simple and aided by the instructional film. Laserwriter NT is now working perfectly again. Many thanks for you swift, efficient service - wonderful stuff
best wishes

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you for saving me time, money, frustration, etc. etc. I replaced a broken motor in my HP Laser Jet 4ML using the new motor you sent me and your helpful instructional video and it's working beautifully again. You not only provide a great service for people like me who don't have a big budget, but it's just great common sense-- why buy a new machine or go through an expensive maze with a corporate giant when you can fix it yourself and spend well-earned time and money on better things? Thanks again. You made my day!
Sincerely,
Jocelyn
I just wanted to thank you for the service you are providing. I have a used microlaser 600 that I had replaced toner, new not refilled, and the OPC, again new not refilled, and could not get it to work. Through google I stumbled upon your archive pages and there was the same problem I had and a solution. I wish I had thought to check there in the first place, I probably did not need a new OPC or toner now.
Once again. Thank you.
James
I had the famous two blinking reds on my old reliable LaserWriter NTX. Thanks to your website, I was able to fix the problem with absolutely no idea what I was doing (ok, I did remove the fuser assembly and replace it, but that's all - I couldn't even find the readings in your pictures). In any case, my most humble thanks.
Sincerely,
-- Garth
Moe:
I just wanted to say "Thanks" for the suggestion about the "arm" in the fuser assembly being the cause of the 13 Paper Jam error messages on my HP IIP. I didn't realize that in returning the face plate to the fuser I didn't hold the arm out so the pins on the face plate would catch the arm. So now I am back to the intermittent Service 50 codes; with a fuser less than 2 years old and copies starting to skip printing on a page after 8 or 9 copies, I am not sure whether I am running out of toner, the thermister is failing (resistance numbers seem wrong) or the power supply is failing. As soon as I get a handle on this, I will bring it into you for repair. As a "stand-up guy" you've got a customer-for-life.
Thanks again.
Dr Ken
100% mark!
I spent countless hours trying to diagnose my HP-LaserJet 3100 which would feed 15 pages jamming the printer. I spent 2 hours on the phone with with HP when they wanted me to select any of the 7 types of rollers users in the machine - leave alone the Instructions when I gave up with them.
I then ordered on-line the $34.00 LJ3100 Jam/Feed repair kit from this site, received the Kit (to Canada) 4 days after, followed the well done video instructions with some care and had a new machine on my hands shortly after. The video has proved unvaluable since it would have been very hard to complete the operation without it. I wish I had contacted you guys months ago!
Keep on the good work.
David
Just wanted to let you know that the printer repair kit for my HP IIIP printer worked great. The instructions were simple, the repair took only 10 minutes. Even the screwdriver at 4 bucks was a great deal. Thanks so much for your products -- I was about to throw away the printer or pay 100+ dollars for repair.

HP 5L Multiple Sheet Feed Kit...
Sir,
Just a note of appreciation and thanks. Thanks for providing such a wonderful service!!! Like many others, I had a printer feed problem. My 5 year-old HP Laserjet 5L was tired, suffering from a ravenous paper appetite, and lately was delighting in grabbing all the paper in the feeder and engorging himself. I ordered your repair kit one afternoon and received it with the next days mail. After a few viewings of your video, I completed the replacement of the worn parts and had my printer back on line in an hour (I'm much slower than most) working perfectly! The instructional video is fine and somewhat entertaining, especially when Moe (I guess???) drops a "C" clip and goes away for an instant. Again thank you very much and I appreciate the service you provide.
Sincerely,
Carlos
ps Feel free to post this note as a recommendation if you would like.
I just wanted to let you know that the groaning noise repair kit came for the LJIII today. Your video was perfect and I had no problem installing it. The printer works perfectly now. Thanks for your excellent product.
I will order everything I can from you in the future.

Re: HP LaserJet IIIP, 52 Error
Hello-
I just have to say thank you for the service you and the "fix your own printer.com" provide. I, being a person who usually hates the words "assembly required", managed to completely take apart my printer and replace a faulty part, and put it all back together. Having the instructional video playing on my CD-ROM helped, so I could do it step-by step, in sync with the video, rewinding/pausing as necessary. My printer now works great and I am quite pleased with myself, I must say. Thank you so much!
One little thing though - I guess I should have watched the entire video first before I started, because it was a little frustrating to go step by step and remove a part, I think it was the fuser? that actually did not need to be removed to replace the scanner motor. After I removed it, the video said something like, "And if you are replacing the scanner motor, you did not need to remove that part." Oops! It's just a little frustrating. Other than that, the directions were very clear and much easier than following written instructions. In fact, I probably would have really hesitated to buy the kit if I had to follow written instructions/diagrams. Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Rebecca
P.S. Feel free to post this on the testimonial page, if you wish.
Hey, I just got my two repair kits today...the videos were great and I was able to fix both printers for under $100 and in less than one hour!!
What a great idea.
John
To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to take this chance to thank you for the great service you offer. I recently purchased your HP LaserJet 5L Multiple Feed kit. My order arrived quickly and it was complete. The video was clear, concise, easy to follow, and informative. I was able to fix my LaserJet 5L in less time that it took me to watch the video. Before I stumbled onto your site, I thought I was going to have to pay $75 for a new feed assembly from HP or possibly as much as $125 for HP's "printer refurb kit." After I found your site, I was able to get my printer running again for $35. What a deal! I have already recommended you to many of my friends. I am also a PC Technician for a local school district and you can be certain that I will return to your site when I need printer parts. Why should we pay twice or three times as much for parts from HP when we can get them cheaper from your company?
Thanks again!
Mike
Sir.
I have an old work horse an HP III. I recently started getting a 50 Service error message. I thought about taking it to a local shop to have it fixed. Our IT person at my work told me about your web page. I went to your web page read your diagnosis that the power supply was the problem. I ordered the supply and CD rom video. It arrived within one day. After watching the very informative video I was able to replace the power supply and the printer was running again in 45 minutes. Thank you for a great web page, fast delivery and informative video. You made the repair easy.
Best of luck.
Murray
Hey Moe;
My tale is like all the others; DEClaser 1152 accordian jam, pay the dough, kit arrives, 20 minutes later, cancer cured - no indifferent, lazy, overpaid, snotty repair "technician" to endur.
Believe it! You can count on death, taxes and Marvellous Moe.
Richard
Hello,
I have received your kit on Friday, and worked on printer on Saturday afternoon. It took me about an hour and my printer ran like a new again. There is no paper jam at all. Thanks for great product!!
What you guys want for desert? :)
Toshi
Just got the order today. Took a little over an hour to install both the fuser bulb and the transfer roller. Works like a champ!
Thanks for the service that you provide.

HP II-P rises from the dead
Moe:
I have to say I was extremely skeptical about getting my wheezy HP II-P printer back to work, but your door open/no toner kit did the job -- it runs like new. Although I probably could have eventually figured out the right sequence to get it installed, your CD was a big help. I will strongly recommend your service to anyone with a printer problem.
Emory
Just received my HP IIIP inside printer jam repair kit. Totally amazed that I fixed the printer in about 10 minutes -- I was about to throw the printer away until I found your web site. Even the screwdriver was a bargain at 4 dollars -- much better than hardware store prices.
Keep up the great work!!
Millicent
I ordered the HP 6L Film replacement kit. I found the video to be extremely helpful in the process of changing the mylar film roll to fix my printer. I was slightly dissapointed in the video though, in some cases I wished the video would have zoomed in on the details such as where certain screws were inside the printer and how to take off the metal heatplate in the fuser assembly. But without it i would have to pay $90 to get my printer looked at and that's not including the $40 mylar film replacement. What would i do without you guys?
Thanks
Kai
You are the king Moe....
there was a piece of paper that I managed to work free.. as well as the little plastic pieces that are supposed to point in the finish direction, one of them was flipped over and pointing the wrong way.. a little nudge with a letter opener and I have a working 1600c again..
Thanks again.
Jody
Hi Moe, I received the your DC power supply for the LaserJet Series II. Thanks to your video instructions, the installation was a breeze. The printer is working OK, and my customer is happy to have her printer back.
Thank you.
David
I fixed my Apple LaserWriter 4/600 PS with your kit -- thanks for your wonderful service.

i can't believe i fixed my printer!
Hello,
I just want to thank you guys at fixyourownprinter.com - I never knew that I could fix my printer that I was about to throw away! I had dropped my HP 6L Laserjet printer from the top of a refridgerator to the ground and thought it was gone for sure. I plugged it in, and it appeared to be scrolling but the paper wasn't feeding in. Sadly, I left it alone for a year, and a week ago, I was desparate for a printer at home, and I even posted an ad for someone to fix my printer in return for free furniture! Someone replied to my ad and suggested that I try ordering a kit from your website. I got the kit 2 days later, and in 2 half hour sessions, my printer is as good as new!! I was about to buy a new laser printer too! Thank you for saving my printer and the $300 I was about to spend on a new printer!

Repair kit Thank you well done
Hi,
Just a short note to say thanks. The kit for the HP 5L was a snap to install with the helpful video. The video was a great idea. The printer works great.
Keith
The Exit Jam Repair Kit arrived today. I ordered it on fixyourownprinter.com after following the troubleshooting screens. I watched the video once through, got the printer and tools in place, then went through slowly, using Windows Media Player, pausing and re-viewing at times. The speaker was clear and spoke through every step and the video pictured all that was necessary to follow along. Before I knew it, the last screw was in place, and I reconnected the LaserJet 4 that was so important to me before the jam began (2 years before I found you). I was so glad to see the test page come out of the printer, then sent a regular job to it, and watched the paper come out smoothly. Thank you so much! The printer I bought nearly a decade ago now has been restored for four percent of the original cost. Your site helped me know what the problem was and the parts and video you sent solved it.
Appreciatively yours,
Ken
I want to take time to say THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your on-line diagnosis was right on. Your CD video was incredibly helpful and easy to follow, and your part worked perfectly.
My Laser Jet IIP is working like new again.
Your service is incredible.
Thanks again.
I keep thinking about getting a new laser printer when something goes wrong with it because it is around 20 years old. However, with services like yours and the way the printer performs for all of our home black and white needs, we may have it around for another 20 years.

I got my parts in today, and it took less than 15 minutes to fix both the problems I had with my printer, I am exceptionally pleased with the service and the ease of use. You have the best instructions I have ever seen.

Hi
Just used your video to install a your Fuser kit in my HP LaserJet 4. I've been putting it off for awhile as my first viewing of the video intimidated me with all the warnings about how easy it was to break certain catches. But once I started I really appreciated that video. It was clear and very easy to follow. I just had to e-mail you and tell you how much I appreciated it. One unrelated question. I recently purchased some 8mb. 80nS, 36 bit SIMM memory modules that the retailer said was for the HP LaserJet 4. Upon installing them I get an error message that tells me there is a parity error. I don't know if this means I need parity SIMMs or non-parity SIMMS. Can you help?
Thanks again for you very clear video.
....Eric
I want to express my delight with the service your organization has provided.
Not only did your web page make it easy for me to place my order but a rapid confirmation was generated. Sooner than I expected came a confirmation of shipment, the speed of your process was wonderful.
Your service just got better then. I ordered on Monday and was stunned on Wednesday when the delivery was made. While the video was not as captivating a an Alfred Hichcock movie (how exciting can it really be?), not only did it show the steps necessary to replace the power supply, it showed the common problems one would encounter.
Ah, but the surprises were not over yet. As I was taking the old to the garbage I chose to look at the papers in the shipping box. Instructions? Read instructions? Heck no, I'm a guy, I don't need no stinking instructions! Well I am glad I did because I received yet another pleasant added service in the form of a $20.00 refund for the old power supply.
I want to express my complete satisfaction with my contact with your organization.
Oh, by the way. The printer is again functioning.

Just a quick note of thanks! I read the many questions on this site about HP4L paper jams and determined that the "kit" would solve my problem. I had fought this jam problem for about a month and was stumped. Two days after placing my order I received the kit. The video included in the kit was a life saver. I have a strong background in maintenance and repair .. But I would never have identified the broken arm -or- been able to get to it without the video.
Thanks again for your prompt and "right on" service.
Richard
Dean Customer Service Representative,
THANK YOU!!! I received the part this morning before 9am and the part is installed and has resolved the problem completely. Your service has been outstanding! I wish all things that I ordered through the internet gave such fantastic results! The photos made the install incredibly easy to do.
VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Moe, and All,
It is a pleasure doing business with your company. The order arrived in record time, and the video is easy to understand.

Thank you,

Yet another satisfied customer!
I just finished replacing the parts in my Laser Jet 5L to correct the multi feed/single sheet feed problem. This printer has never really worked right in the 5+ years we have owned it and after an hour of working through your video, I fixed it! We were about to junk it and throw it away, but now it works better than when it was brand new.
The video was very helpful, I didn't have to think while I was doing the job, I just followed what you did. The only key for me was to make sure I paused a lot and re-watched difficult sections. As long as I had the printer lined up the same way as you did, I didn't have any problems. You should start selling videos and kits for car repair, it would beat the Haynes manuals any day!
Thanks again,
John
Very pleased with the service and support!
Ordered kit on 1 JAN, rec'd 4 JAN, printer repaired and working great 30 minutes later.
I will definitely be a returning customer.
Thanks!

Hi everyone at www.fixyourownprinter.com,
I would like to thank you for your bright business idea. I just got that scanner motor replacement part and my (old IIIP) printer is now back to life.
These MPEG videos shipped with replacement kits describing exactly how to replace parts are invaluable... Getting the part AND how to replace it is paradise. No long hours of pain trying to replace a defective part and no risk of breaking other parts while doing the surgery ! No headaches trying to figure out schemas and drawings ! I also appreciated the usefull tricks in the video about potential problems with other sensitive parts. Keep up the good work !
Thank you

Dear Customer Service Dept.,
I am just writing to thank you for the prompt delivery of the roller kit I ordered recently for my trusty old HP Laserjet 4 Plus. It arrived in less than a week after the order was placed, even though it had to come to Japan.
With the help of the very clear step-by-step instructions on the video, I had the replacement rollers installed and running happily about an hour and 15 minutes after the package arrived. A new lease of life for my trusty printer!
I will heartily recommend your website to my colleagues, and will doubtless be using your services again as required!
Thanks again,
Kind regards,

The other day I was thinking about an aggravating problem that I was having with my printer. I went to GOOGLE and hit on your web site. Being a 72 year old Grandfather that has time and likes to putter, I decided to give it a try.
I received the parts and teaching video in a couple of days, and now I have no paper feed problem.
You have a geat product!

You fellas are OUTSTANDING! I ordered the HP LJ 5L repair kit 10/15/03 in the afternoon and WOW! 1) FAST SHIPPING! 2 days from CA to PA?!?! Holy cow that is lightning quick! 2) Excellent CDROM instructions!! Done in less than 30 minutes!! 3) My printer works like a champ again! I'm ready for the next 9 years! If I hear anyone having printers problems, I'm sending them straight to this webpage!

My 6 year old Epson Stylus 500 stopped printing black, even after replacing the cartridge. Color was ok. My local repair shop told me there was no hope - get a new printer. I can't get a new printer without buying a whole new computer. (serial port vs. USB port)
Then I found your Epson Inkjet head cleaning kit and decided to give it a try. Ordered it on Thursday, and it was in my mailbox on Saturday, on the east coast, yet! (I used to live in Hermosa Beach.)
I let it work overnight, and in the morning, the printer is printing blacks again, better than ever!
My savior arrived on Easter Sunday! Thank you!
Question: Is there anything to be done for an Apple Personal Laserwriter NT that puts out a blank startup page and is not recognized by the Chooser? It's plugged in and it hums and clicks and the lights sequence as they're supposed to. It has been sitting in the closet for two years. Could it be a bad Toner Cartridge? My local repair guy says this one is hopeless, too.
Thanks,
-Jeff
Moe,
Your repair kit for the LaserJet 4ML was great. The instructions were very clear, even though my "formatter board", as you call, was slightly different.
Again, its not about the money so much, I'm just very happy to have a working printer again, that would have been land-fill without your kit.
Keep up the good work!

provide on your website. I have an HP Laserjet 4L
that spontaneoulsly started lighting all four
indicator lights after it had printed one, or at most
two, pages. I searched the archives, and found
reference to a fan error code, and confirmed that that
was my problem by comparing my sequence of error
lights to ones you'd mentioned in a couple of your
answers. I took the printer cover off, checked out
the fan, confimed it was OK by hooking it up to a
separate 12 VDC source (car battery!), and plugged the
connector back in to the machine. The printer works
fine now. Must have been a bad connection in the fan
plug.
I had been ready to buy a new printer, but decided not
to because all the "home" printers looked really
chintzy compared to the 4L, and have a much higher
profile than the 4L. Instead I started looking for
info on getting the 4L repaired, and discovered your
web site. As it turns out, I didn't need to buy any
parts but you can be assured that if I ever do, I'll
give you my business. Thanks again for saving my 4L!
Best regards,
Jerry

Successful Printer Repair Story
Hi, Moe!
Just want to tell you that I was able to successfully repair my Apple Personal LaserWriter NT using the do-it-yourself kit with scanner motor and VHS taoe that you supplied.
I watch the video all the way through on Wednesday. Then just went in on Saturday to replace the scanner motor. Even though the first half of the disassembly of the HP IIIP is different from the Apple Laserwriter because of the Postscript assembly on top of the engine, it was the same in the last half. It was helpful to see the treatment of the wires plugged into the board. I would have never known to pull them out myself. But I was able to get it all done....and it worked! Easily the cheapest laser printer repair ever at $54.....by about 1/2 to 2/3.
I returned the tape to your shop this morning.

Moe:
I purchased the HP 5L PaperJam Repair Kit and CD-ROM. I had my printer fixed within an hour and no problems whatsoever. Your video really helped out and I saved an expensive trip to the repair shop. I want to thank you for a great product and would like to know when the HP-5L fuser video will be out.
Thanks for a great product
Bob
A Very Satisfied Customer
I'm writing to thank you for your excellent service. I ordered an HP 6L paper feed kit on Wednesday and received it on Saturday in Northern Ireland. That would be a good period from a UK company never mind one in the States. I've just finished installing the kit and it was very straightforward due to your clear video. Thanks for your help. I'll certainly recommend you to my friends.
Regards
Nigel
Moe, I know that you already have plenty of testimonials, but I was so impressed with your product and service that I felt that I had to write. I had just invested $94 in a new toner cartridge when my trusty 10 yr old HP IIP showed an error code that its scanner motor had died. Since I had no idea what a scanner motor was, much less how to fix one, I was steps away from throwing the machine out when I stumbled across your site via a Google search. The cost was right and best of all it came with a video tape to walk me through the fix. 30 minutes after starting the repair (I hit pause a lot!) the machine was back together and churning out pages. Let me say that without the video there is NO WAY I would have been able to do this repair. Thanks so much and I mention you guys to everyone I know who has a laser printer.
Claude
Laser Service:
Pickup repair kit arrived in 3 days, instructions were great, found a couple of additional problems through the video to boot. Nice product and video, my printer is working as good as new.
Thanks,

RE: Order Receipt from fixyourownprinter.com
Received the part and installed it in less than 30 minutes. I had dropped my printer off for repair and was looking at a minimum charge of at least $125 before I happened across your website. I got my printer back before they had put any time into it and ordered the repair kit from your website. Worked like a charm and my HP IIIP is happily chugging along again! Best $25 I ever spent to keep this printer going.
New business: I just bought a used HP 4M Plus on EBAY with a relatively low page count. It is making a consistent rattling noise that sounds like it is coming from the general area where the cooling fan is. Is there anything else that could be making this noise, such as an electric motor or would it be safe to say it is the cooling fan as it is a constant noise even when the printer is printing? Do you sell the fans?
thanks
Kevin
I don't often take the time just to lay on praise, but your great website, superb service and parts have made me a *very* happy customer. I've used two of your kits, and now have two good printers when before we were fearing they'd have to go the junkpile. I am thrilled that you guys are out there helping people help themselves.
thankee, thankee, thankee !
Ursula
It worked! You saved me big bucks. Thank you. -Christopher
Just to let you know that the HP LaserJet IIIp "top output accordion jam repair" kit and the HP LaserJet IIIp "no paper pickup repair kit" both came very quickly and the repairs went well. The CD-ROM video with the pickup repair kit was very helpful. On the instructions for the K06 kit, you really should emphasize (print in red and bold) the warning to "Push firmly inward on the gear as you are reinstalling it, so that the pin does not fall into the printer." I thought I was doing it right, but of course the pin did fall into the printer, and of course the brass screws holding the fuser were impossible to unscrew. Fortunately, a small magnetized screwdriver saved the day, or this email would be asking if you could supply a replacement pin. Again, thanks for the help.

Peter

HP LaserJet IIP plus - FIXED!
Our HP printer is over 11 years old. Some time ago the top output failed, producing numerous accordions. Then the paper pickup began to fail, requiring that the paper be coaxed into the printer. Then last Sunday, the printer began to mangle sheets of paper internally - and I mean MANGLE. I thought the printer was finished. After a quick Google search, I found your site and ordered the "No Paper Pickup Repair Kit (w/ CD-ROM Video)," the "Inside Printer Accordion Jam Repair Kit" and the "Top Output Accordion Jam Repair Kit." It all arrived on Wednesday afternoon, and I am so pleased to report that after the virtually effortless installation of the parts, with the assistance of the excellent guidance on the CD-ROM video and color photo instruction sheets, the printer is working perfectly. I am most grateful to you for your service. I wish that I had not waited so long to repair the earlier problems. Never again, now that I know where to go.
Thank you!
Eric
Wow! Thank you for your unbelievable response. I had a problem with a broken fuser drive gear on my home HP 4+. I misstated the problem, and you sent an idler gear. I needed the fuser drive gear that is on the fuser roller, but I didn't explain it properly. I called and explained the problem, and you sent it directly to me without additional charges. Amazing! I will forward your URL to my IS department. We have about 350 HP printers in our company spread out over seven states. I hope that they wake up and use your services. (I'll pound it into them!)
Thanks you for your fine service.
Allen
Thank you!
You guys are the greatest, by the way. I used another kit from you to replace the fuser bulb, saving us hundreds of dollars. Same thing this time - can't imagine what a repair service would charge us for this.
Thanks so much!
- Jonathan
I just received and installed the second kit (for now) from you. Amazing!
My first experience was with an HP LJ 4 that we were told it was uneconomical to repair. It probably sat there for several months collecting dust before I came along. I just happened upon your site from a search on google, and voila…..a perfectly functioning printer for very little money.
So, now I just fixed my multi-feed problem on an HP LJ 5L.
You guys are the best!

Got my kit - worked FLAWLESSLY!
Hi,
Quick question, then massive thanks!
QUESTION: I have an older HP Laserjet 4 Plus (1994). Could you tell me which JetDirect box will work with this printer? And, does it plug in to the front of the printer, via that "hinged" slot? I've received contradictory answers from about 4 different sources.
PRAISE/KUDOS: I received my accordion paper-jam fix kit with video today - within a matter of minutes, I had the printer fixed and printing just like new again. To think, I was going to throw the printer away (or sell it cheap on eBay)...Thanks so very much for an excellent product with top-notch instructions and support. Thank you - I owe you one!
Thanks again,
Steve
You guys have a great product and provide a valuable service. You saved me over $300 with your head cleaning solution...the authorized service center wanted to replace the print head on my Epson 2000p printer and after one application of the cleaner it totally fixed the problem...thanks for your help.

IIIP Error 52 Repair - Thanks!
I just got done replacing the scanner board in my IIIP and now it works like new again. What a great concept you guys have! The video made delving into the depths of the printer as easy as can be. It probably would have cost 50-100% more to have the same thing done at a repair place around here. It's nice to know that in this age of "disposable" printers, I can keep my sturdy old IIIP running. I'll be ordering an output roller in the future based on the tip about checking it as shown in the video.
Thanks!

Greetings from the Netherlands
Just printed about 75 pages with my old Laserjet 5L after it was repairred with the kit I ordered. It is now printing sheet by sheet as if it is a new printer. It used to feed several sheets at once which resulted in a paper jam. Thanks to fixyourownprinter.com the Laserjet started its second lifetime. Will my new OKI printer (the replacement for the Laserjet) become jealous?

I have always been frustrated at HP's unwillingness to sell me repair parts. I discovered your site on an HP Forum posting. Today I replaced the ink supply stations on 2 HP 2000C printers in about 25 minutes. Thanks for providing a great website and a great service!

I just received my scanner board for my 10+ year old HP IIIp. Yes, I'm back in business. I have an Epson inkjet but used the IIIp for printing emails and rough drafts.

Hello Guys;
Just a quick note to let you know that the kit arrived in Ireland today - less than a week after ordering. The instructional CD was absolutely brilliant, and my printer is now back up and running with less than an hour of work. You run a great service and I will recommend you to anyone with a printer problem.

Moe, a few months ago I was at our local Transfer Station which is jargon for the town dump. I Usually bring home more than I take. I especially like scrounging in the electronics dumping area. I am a real geek with a deep love especially for Macs. Well this day I saw what looked like a pristine Apple 16/600 PostScript/Fax. I took it home and fired it up and it had problems. I launched up the Apple Printer Utility and got some sort of temperature message. Not wanting to give up I went online and found your web site. I looked for my printer on your site and quickly found out that its a common problem with these machines. I already had a beautiful Apple LaserWriter Pro 630 but I wanted the 16/600 because it did TCP/IP and most of all the fun and satisfaction of fixing it myself. Being busy I kept your web site in mind but did not order the kit immediately . When my mom asked me about a little extra gift for Christmas I thought the kit to fix my printer would be the ideal thing. We ordered it and a few days later she gave it to me. I popped in the cd and watched the instructional MPEG video and in less than half an hour this beautiful printer was printing out razor sharp text and awesome halftones.
Thank you
Chris
That is the first word I said when the printer started working again!
I bought an Epson Stylus 400 in 1998 (yes 4+ years ago) as part of a package deal and NEVER opened it until a few days ago (literally!) and of course it wouldn't print. I just got tired of the crappy HP550. $40.00 later in new carts, it STILL wouldn't print. I hit the Epson site and met with the usual vendor answers. Then www.google.com for answers which brought me to your site. It took 1 and a half minutes to find the fix: a $9 bottle of cleaner and another 3 minutes to order it. I received the cleaner a few days later, followed the instructions, and 4 hours after that (had to let it it for a while) I am printing!
You guys are fantastic! Oh did I forget to mention that the ordering and research occurred on the 23rd and the kit arrived on the 26th of... December!!!
Thank you for a great web site, perfect answers, and fast response.
Please keep up the good work.
Bill
moe,

Hi,
Received my HPLaserjet 5 heater lamp an hour ago. Thanks to the mpeg video, the printer is now back up and running as good as new. HP wanted $129.99 plus tax and shipping to fix the burnt out lamp, so i saved near $80.00!
Thanks again.

The site is so easy to use. I was able to educate myself on the parts I needed to repair an HP LaserJet 5L and then order the parts. The parts were less expensive than from HP. The pars arrive on the third day - fantastic.
The only thing that I can't easily find on your system is how to send this testimonial.
Thanks, The world should be filled with people trying to help their fellow man/woman.

Epson Cleaning Solution Thumbs Up
Dear Customer Service,
This is a note of thanks for resolving my printing problems with my Epson Stylus Color 850.
I use my printer very little. It became apparent that the printer nozzles had become clogged to the point I could not print. Regular cleaning procedures were not helpful and I feared I was headed for an expensive repair visit. I came upon your web site via a search on Google about resolutions that went beyond regular nozzle cleaning. I discovered your Epson Cleaning Solution kit and ordered one.
It worked absolutely great. Following your simple instructions through one application only restored my printer to its original printing capability. I am REAL glad to know about this resolution to the problem.
Thanks again for the solution....in all ways.
Steve

What can I add to the list of testimonials? Two day service to Minnesota, excellent CD, the right parts, problem solved (Pro 630 fanfold). Please feel free to use my email address (mlenarz@mn.rr.com) as a referral. I only wish there were more businesses like yours out there.
Thanks big time!

Just got my repair kit. The video was excellently done. It was snap to fix my worn-out fuser. Perfect.

Dear Moe,
I was having reoccurring problems with the print heads clogging on my Epson 1280. After I was told from a certified repair center that my printer needed new print heads. (costing over $200.00 to repair.) I picked up my printer disillusioned but I did a internet search for printer repair for a second opinion. I came upon your web site.
I ordered the Epson Stylus Head Cleaning Solution figuring @ ten dollars it was worth a shot. Two days later I received the kit and followed the instructions. Well O.K. not exactly. the instructions said to use the solution and wait three hours at least or overnight for best results.
Well I couldn't wait, so five minutes later I wanted to check the progress to see if anything had improved. Boy did it! Perfect! completely unclogged and as good as new! I am ecstatic! Your company Just saved me a lot of money. It makes me think that the printer I had before the 1280 could have been saved!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Seven Year Old Apple Laserwriter 16/600 - FIXED!
Moe,
Let me add this to your list of testimonials. Using only the information on your website, I was able to diagnose my problem on this beautiful printer that has sat in my closet for two years. which arrived promptly.
I was about to take it the the junk yard as the best telephone estimate I got from any service center in my area was $250-$350 to fix.
I bought your kit, which arrived promptly, watched the CD, installed the lamp, set up, configured and printed in 35 minutes! Wow, $46!.
Thanks
Michael
Moe, I used the injector and fluid to clean the print head. Worked like a charm.

Moe,
Last week I purchased your HP LaserJet 5P/6P Fuser Exit Jam Repair Kit. I had been quoted prices around $200 to repair my 6MP. Your kit took care of all my problems for $29.95! The instructional video won't win any Oscars but it clearly showed how to replace the rollers. I am extremely satisfied with the kit, the video and the speed in which the order was processed. You have a new fan who will recommend your service to all my friends. What a great idea. I hope that many people find your site.
Bob
Moe,
I just ordered one of your repair kits to fix my HP LaserJet 4ML. I can't wait. I applaud your business! It's a crime how our society throws away everything that breaks. More and more junk in the landfill. Good for you. But I digress.
An elderly gentleman down the hall from my office has a Canon PC-10 personal copier. I read on your site how you have made little rubber rollers that are just above and below the mylar seperation guide. His have turned into sticky goo.
Your were talking about making replacements for the PC-25. Does the same thing work for the PC-10? I would love to surprise him by fixing his old copier. What would they cost?
Thanks again, good luck with your business.

Dear Fixyourownprinter.com,
Thank you so much for all the help over the last year. Just recently I worked on a HPLJ IIID with a 51 Error and it ended up being a lose connection just like you have told so many others. If I would have called a repairman they would have charged me a few hundred dollars and probably done the same thing I have done for free. I have also had much success with your replacement fuser rollers on all of my printers including a Hp III, IV and 2200.
Thank you so much,
Trent
I have a question about a (possible)purchase. My HP 4L grinds during start up just like your fix page describes. I want the part but need to be sure of what it is. Is it just the electric motor or is it the whole gear assembly? I get a grinding sound from the fuser area (pattern sound) and the page gets pulled all the way thru up until it goes thru the fuser. Stops right before it hits the exit sensor. Do I buy the kit?BTW, I love your site. We have used your company several times for roller kits and pickup pad kits. We saved a bundle.
Thanks!!!

Great value, outstanding service. Thank you.
To Whom It May Concern:
Your company really came through for me. I am a Software Integration Engineer with Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, Oregon. I also do some consulting (troubleshooting, problem solving, etc.) on the side. I have professionally been in the computer/technology industry since 1995. With all of my experience with hardware and software, I have had little experience with printers. Aside from changing ink and toner cartridges and clearing paper jams, I had no idea what would go into fixing a printer.
I have owned an HP DeskJet 6L since 1998. It has been a very good printer, but over the last year or so, it has been feeding multiple sheets of paper. I had no idea what was wrong, and didn't actually take the time to investigate it until recently. I looked online for known issues with this model printer and came across your web site. After looking at a couple of other places, your offer for the replacement parts that I needed including an instructional video for around $35 sounded like a pretty good deal, so I ordered it (HP's solution would have cost me nearly $200). This was on a Friday afternoon. The following Monday, I received the package in the mail. I couldn't believe how fast it came since it was just shipped standard USPS.
When I went to fix my printer the next day, I was a bit concerned that the video would not be very detailed and may leave me high and dry. These fears were completely unprecedented. The video not only walked me through every step of the way, it even made sure to give details about what issues could possibly occur (even though the instructor didn't have such problems). After all was said and done, and I had my printer back together, it worked like new.
Thank you very much for your help and your service. I will certainly use you again if either I or a customer of mine has any printer issues. I will also be recommending you to all of my more tech-savvy friends.
Sincerely,
Travis
Moe,
Before my question - I just wanted to say thanks. I've been using your site for research for years. Lately, I've purchased some fuser repair kits for my HP 4 & 5 series printers. They were great.
Today, I've got a problem that I've seen in many other HP laserjet 4's. The plastic gears on the fuser have cracked (broken away) and this is causing multiple paper jams. But this time, I don't have a laserjet 4 -- I've got a Canon Laser Class 9000S "Super G3" fax machine. Do you carry the parts for this unit?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Pete

I could go one for pages, but I'll let it suffice to say that www.fixyourownprinter.com is without question the best service I have found all year!! I got my printer fixed for a third of the price and a week faster than if I hadn't used your service. But then, I'll bet you're used to hearing that!

Thanks for your video. Got a "free" right hand fading laser select 360, read a little on the net, found your video....instant laser printer operating perfectly. I've never worked on a laser printer before only a inkjet or two with stripped gears, and enjoyed the education. thanks very much.....E

Moe, and everyone else at Laser Service-
After smelling a faint odor from my LaserJet IIIp, and then receiving a dreadful "52 ERROR", I thought my printer had seen its last day. Not excited about spending ~$500 for a new laser printer, I searched the internet forums for the cause of the "52 ERROR", and any possible solutions. One cannot express the delight I had when I came across references to your website - what a great service - fixing your own printers along with step-by-step instruction videos! Too good to be true? Nope - I ordered a new scanner motor, and two days later it's at my door. 45 minutes of tinkering, and I'll be damned - the printer works again!
To top it all, you provided a quick tip in the video regarding cracked/broken drum drive assembly clutches which cause paper accordion problems. I looked at mine, and sure enough - it's cracked! You can bet that when my paper starts to fold up inside the printer, I'll be ordering your kit that same hour! (I probably should just order it now... :)
Anyway, I thought I would share my experience on how simple it was to fix the printer, and how satisfied I am with your kit and service. You can bet I'll be passing your name around.
Cheers,
John

another delighted customer!
After learning (from your site) that our old Declaser 1152 is really a Canon LX in disguise, we were finally able to locate a new toner cartridge for it. Two weeks later, when the paper started jamming, I concluded "That's the price to pay for buying an off-brand cartridge." Nonetheless, before throwing the printer out the window, I again checked your site, found the repair kit, figgered "what the hell?", and tried it. As you already know, the fix took minutes, the printer works like new, and you've got ANOTHER delighted customer.
Thanks for your awesome service!

Hi Moe, Just to let you know the new thermofuse assembly arrived today. Fitted it in about 5 minutes and powered up. The lamp warmed up in the normal time and the printer is now working perfectly again. Thanks for all your help.

I just wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the fuser repair kit I purchased recently from your company. The video was very easy to follow I completed the repair quickly, with absolutely no problems whatsoever. I'm sure I would have been out an additional $75 - $100 to have it fixed elsewhere, plus have been without it for a week or two longer. I will not hesitate to use your repair kits again.

Hi Moe,
Isn't the web just wonderful?
My HP 660c has had a clunking noise for ages, tho' it still prints OK. Just out of curiosity I typed the above subject line into Google, not expecting much in the way of results - and straight away there was your answer to the problem. Great stuff!
Thanks a lot guys - much appreciated.
Kind regards,

Hi Moe,
After being quoted over £120 to replace the blocked head on my Epson 1200 I searched the internet for a solution and came up with your website. Thinking that it was worth risking $13 for your head cleaner, as a last hope I bought it. It arrived in the UK in 4 days and 24hrs later (the waiting, not the working time!) I now once again have a working printer and enough head cleaner for another 20 cleans should I need it.
Thanks a lot
Garry
Hi Moe, 20 Minutes ago I got your parcel from USA (i am living in Germany). After looking your MPG Video it was sooo easy to change the fuser lamp of my Laswerwriter 16/600PS. The old one looks as you said in the video. Now my printer is printing very fine and i hope also for 7 Years :-) Thx a lot for this amazing help from you. In Germany i have had to pay about 150 Dollars for the fixing of my printer. Now it is 50 Dollar. Cool.
bye
carsten from germany
p.s. sorry about my poor english :-)
Just to say "Thank you" for your excellent service. The package arrived amazingly quickly and the repair was very easy to do. Now my Laserjet IIIP is working fine again.
I am shortly going to be moving permanently to the U.S.A., to live and work in Wichita, KS. I won't be bringing my IIIP, and wondered if your company sold reconditioned HP Laserprinters as well as repairing them. Or are the shipping charges too expensive to make this a sensible proposition?
Kind regards,
Derek
Just a quick thankyou for great service.
I bought a fuser repair kit, a little on "spec" to salvage an old 6MP. Kit arrived in about a week and half (delivered to UK !), even though you were out of stock on ordering, and took just a few mins to fix. Great video - explains all you need to know very clearly.
The nearest comparison I found was a full fuser kit at £100ish, which would have put the printer beyond economic repair.
Great service, great site & resource. It's nice to fix something these days rather than scrap it. Hope your are there for many years to come !
Best
Graham
I just wanted to tell you how pleased I was with the results I got after going through your website, diagnosing my problem, ordering the part to fix the problem from you and then actually having the new part be exactly right! Thanks again!!!!!!

You guys have just made my list of 'Service Heroes'.
Yesterday I received the Apple LaserWriter II Pickup Jam Repair Kit and the Groaning Noise Repair Kit with their respective videos. This morning I watched the videos and then sat down and did the installations from memory. Afterwards I watched the videos a second time just to make sure I hadn't missed anything. I went back and fixed one or two minor things.
I powered up the unit and ran a test page. Looked good, although the image was dark on one side, light on the other. After figuring out that the toner needed to be redistributed in the cartridge, and the darkness control needed to be turned down, I was able to declare victory. I am presently using the LaserWriter to print out its own manual.
FYI, this was a printer that I rescued from our local recycling center a couple of years ago. It was complete, and even had the memory upgrade installed. Walking away from it seemed criminal -- especially since I had wanted a LaserWriter since the mid-80's.
After initially trying to get it to work, and having only limited success, I had put it aside until I had more time to delve into it. Finding your website recently was what I needed to get me to look at it again. I bought the two kits I did figuring that all of the rollers in the unit had to be up for replacement/refurbishment. Looks like I guessed right.
One other thing. It looks like the previous owner had a cat. I found the spring-mounted array of rollers at the turn-around end just stuffed full of fine hairs. I figured out how to snap these rollers out, clean them, and replace them.
So, my thanks to you for good products and good service. I will recommend you to anybody who is willing to sit still and listen!
Best,
Ed

Printer Praise for Moe and Gang
Moe:
You showed me the 282 emails of praise for your services, well here's 283. Thanks for looking at my 16/600 PS and telling me which kit I needed. Took the stuff home and followed the video directions. You take 12 minutes to do the job, it took me two hours, not bad and not far off my original estimate. Great the way you guys point out all the little pitfalls and tricks to do it right.
I'll talk to our person in charge of the Mac Club guest speakers and pass on your card. Hope we can arrange for you to come out to talk to our club. Thanks again for saving me a bundle of cash.
Thanks again!

Hi,
Thank you so much for the repair package! I enjoyed the video and found that the repair was 'no big deal' as a result. My printer is running again and life is good.
Looking forward to the next failure,
Don
Dear sir/madam:
I recieved your "52 error" kit and CD. The CD movie was terrific and made the job simple to do.
I will test out the printer in the next few days, but it powered up without error for the first time in weeks.
Fingers crossed.
Thanks for the great service.
Paul
Folks,
I used your service last week to fix my LaserJet 3100 and just wanted to say thanks for a great product and great service. I ordered my video/repair kit last Tuesday – it arrived in the UK on Saturday and after following the excellent video, I now have a working printer again.
Thanks once again
Andrew
Moe,
After doing a search on Google regarding LaserJet 4 paper jams I found fixyourownprinter.com I found a description of exactly the problem I was having with my 4M jamming everytime the paper came up out of the bottom tray.
I figured that even if your solution didn't fix my problem, it was only 39.00 and I would be no worse off. After spending 30-45 minutes watching the video and working on the printer, it works perfectly.
I just wanted to say thank you for offering these parts at the price you do and not following all of your other printer repair peers by screwing the consumer who is looking for an economical fix. Me and hundreds of others who have used your valuable service appreciate it!
Thanks again,
Russ

I have just completed replacing the paper feed parts in my HP 6L, following your "how-to" video. WOW! How simple it is to take stuff apart (and put it back together) when you know where all the hidden latches are. Thanks to your clear instructions the job took less than half an hour and the printer functions flawlessly once more. I know that it is just a matter of time before something else on my printer reaches "old age." You can be sure that I will come back to your site to extend its life. And let me echo all the others who mentioned quick delivery and accurate information! Thanks.

Thank you.
thank you.............
The RRR worked like a charm on my TI microLaser Pro 600
It was a workhorse until the roller problem.

Moe, you are a lifesaver. My old Canon LBP-8II is back to its old self. I did the Paper Pickup Jam and the Groaning Noise repairs and with the excellent help of your Digital Videos I finished both jobs, hooked up the printer and it worked perfectly!!!
Just the same as when I had to replace the AC Power Module, I got your kit and made short work of the repair.
Please be sure to keep parts in stock for these old workhorse laser printers, I think they will last forever with your help.
John
Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank for your quality service in providing with the correct part to repair my Canon LBP-1260. The instructional video was extremely informative and the printer is now fully functional. I had tried to purchase the seem part from the UK and was quoted a price of £81.00 plus VAT plus delivery which made the price close to £100.00 in total. Your price of £28.69 ($55.20) including delivery and instructions is exceptional value, thanks, another example of 'Rip off Britain'.
Thanks
Mike
you guys rock. thank you for a great reference site.

RE: A package was sent to you from fixyourownprinter.com
Dear sir,
I would like to Thank you for multiple things. The first thing is the fast delivering (the fastest order I received ever). the second thing is the detailed video movie. the third thing is the great web site. you are doing great work.
thanks & regards

Excellent!
When I contacted an authorized HP repair center for the paper feed/paper jam issue on my still relatively new LaserJet 5L printer, they told me a repair kit (for a known product deficiency!!!) would be $86 + Labor, approximately $200 total. My printer is happily printing away after using your easy to install repair kit, $29.95 including repair video. I was so disgusted with HP, I was ready to chuck the whole thing and buy a new printer. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, you saved me a wad of dough!

Re: Package Shipped to You
Hi! Well, my son and I just installed the new printer pad thing, and SHAZAM! like magic, my old LaserJet 1100 is actually working again! After months of the paper feeder dragging 2 or more sheets through at a time, I'm finally watching just the sheet that's being printed go through. The hair dryer was critical for getting the old pad soft enough to scrape it off. But once we got that, the fix was a snap. Thanks, again! -George
Hi:
Wanted to write and let you know how happy I am with your company.
The top margin on the first page of documents was slipping. I contacted several companies and all quoted me around $200 to repair. I located your company through a Goggle search. Though skeptical, I ordered the part from you for around $15. It arrived promptly and took only a few minutes to install. And it solved the problem.
Thanks again for your service. I am very happy that I could find such an easy and inexpensive solution.

Hi Moe,
The HP 6L is back up and printing crystal clear!!
Thanks for the top notch service in every respect!
Live knowledgable human answering the toll fee number, instant order processing, check up call-back, and lightning fast access to the great video tutorial that simply and clearly explained the whole repair procedure.
Total time from when I first called until the printer was fixed was under two and a half hours, and most of that was downloading the video and finding the Windex! You can't beat it!
Absolutely highest recommendations!
Thanks again,
John
Hi,
I just completed the accordion jam repair on my good old laserjet 4+ AND IT WORKS NOW!!! You did a great job with this video wghich is really worth the money. Opening the box all alone would be easy but the further steps could be a real problem without it. Additionally, it is a very satifying way of repair things. Keep on doing well, I will tell friends about this. Laserjets are not expensive 2nd hand (failed ones, even cheaper) and much better than crappy jet printers. You may quote this mail on the web site if you wish.
Best regards from switzerland!
Dom
Thanks for a marvelous service. The mpeg was easy to follow and my HP Laser4+ is now once again completely operational. I will recommend you to all my geek friends. /rr

Hi,
Your fix installed more easily than removing the old pad that was dried out in the HP1100 printer that had been a problem for some time. It seems to work fine now. Your instructions were very good.
I have heard from several other people here in the islands who have the same problem. They will send for the fix pad from you I'm sure.
I found your name on the HP chronic problems list by the way.
Thanks again.

Dear Moe,
My old Apple IIf printer and I go back 12 years, so when she started printing off-register last year, I was reluctant to replace her. Fearing expensive repairs, I've been printing out SINGLE PAGES all this time. (Yes, it WAS a drag!) Then I discovered your website this past Friday. Not only did you correctly diagnose the problem, you shipped me the replacement part (with installation instructions) overnight, for a total of $15.50. The installation took -literally-two minutes, and today (Tuesday) I'm printing reams of pages like nobody's business! Thank you SO VERY MUCH!
As your governor would say, "I'LL BE BACK!"
Carol
I want to add my thanks to the many letters you've received already. I ordered the kit to repair the multiple sheet feed problem on my HP Laserjet 6L. The parts arrived within 2 days, I watched the Video CD, repaired my printer and am completely happy. I paid $120 at work to repair a similar problem locally. Yours was less than a third of the cost. I will definitley recommend you to others and I've bookmarked your site.
Ben
Hi,
I just got around to repairing my Laserjet 4 with the kit I bought from you. I'm amazed that this is possible, and I wanted to thank you, both for providing this wonderful product, and for responding so quickly when the video you sent me proved to be defective. You guys are great.

Lone Star-sized "Thank You's",
I found you while searching the web for an HP LaserJet 4V Fuser Assembly. It was either take a chance with your kit or spend $190.00 for a refurbished unit… plus a $100 deposit refundable on the return of my old assembly. Your short writeup sold me because it was dead on. I had ghost images down the middle of the page because of toner build-up on the roller. (It’s the cheap replacement toner cartridges we’ve been using, I guess.) Within twenty-five minutes I had my printer up and printing again (I had to pause and rewind a couple of times.) If I ever have to do this again I can have it done in fifteen minutes.
Big thanks from Texas….
Eric
Hi
What can I say I received the HP LaserJet IIP/IIIP 52 Service Error Repair Kit. The video was a great help and even I, a hamfisted moron, could follow its step by step instructions. It took me 30 minutes and my printer worked again. I was initially cautious, as a UK resident, dealing online with the USA however The kit was ordered on the 15 Oct, despatched 16th and received, here in the UK, on the 18th. I defy anyone to provide better service. Very well done, you are assured of my future custom and my reccomendation to friends and colleagues.
Thanks again
J Stephenson
ps if you wish to use my name in your promotions please feel free.
I just got done replacing the scanner motor in my Laserjet 3P, and all I can say is WOW!
The kit arrived quickly, the replacement part worked perfectly, and the instructional video was superb. I had absolutely no problems doing the replacement.
You have saved me the price and hassle of buying a new laser printer. I am recommending your site to all of my friends.
THANK YOU!
Tony
I want to express my deep satisfaction with the quality of service and merchandise provided by your company. In searching the web for information on what might have gone wrong with my decade-old HP laser printer and finding several replacement parts companies that not only presumed I knew what was wrong with my printer but also expected me to know the part name and number for what needed to be replaced, I happily stumbled across fixyourownprinter.com. Most impressively, your website helped to identify what was wrong in the first place. In addition, I was also deeply impressed with the quality of the instruction video which sped me through the repair process in less than twenty minutes. Hopefully my printer will keep on chugging away for another ten years now. Thanks so much.

THANK YOU for helping me salavage my QMS PS 410 Laser Printer
Hi All @ "fixyourownprinter",
I want to say what an incredible experince experience it has been finding your discussion wedsite. I have an obsolete 12 year old laser printer, original cost $2,000.00, which has served me well over the years. recently it started to "print blank sheets", so I did a Google search & found your site. Within minutes of posting I had a response with suggestions on what was wrong with my QMS PS 410. After going "back & forth" with further diagnosis over a very brief time Moe got on & suggested that my problem was likely due to a burned out HV Power Module & that they had one available in the obsolete inventory (not listed on the standard parts list). I ordered one and it came along with installation DVD video 2 days later via USPS Expedited Mail ... super fast! Forty screws & several panels & circuit boards later I was at the bottom of the printer & able to replace the HV Circuit Board. As a result of the great help I got on the website & from Moe I was able to fix a printer which was obsolete & unrepairable (no services would be able to do the repair ... too old!) & even if I had been able to find some one who would the cost would have been over $250.00, the part $29.95 + S&H, & several hours of my labor, quite a bargain! As a result I am now back up & running with same beautiful laser, postscript quality printing I've enjoyed from this printer for the last 12 years. I can't begin to THANK YOU enough, you guys are teriffic & an unbelieveable find.
Best Regards, George
PS: Please feel free to put this on your Customer Satisfaction website, I didn't know how to do it.
I'M IMPRESSED!! I have been an audio professional for over 45 years. I pride myself in my work, have high standards about my product, and take responsibility for the results, good or bad. It is very satisfying as a customer to find a company with the same concepts and policies.
You guys were great every step of the way, from placing the order, confirmation, shipping notice, through product delivery. I almost got the repair kit before the email about the shipment.
I opened the package, put in the CD, watched it as instructed, tore my printer apart, repaired it, plugged it in, and started printing. I did not have a single problem with the procedures and the repair has solved my multi-sheet feed problems.
The video was clear and concise. A couple of stumbles on the part of the presenter only made it more human and pleasant. The only criticism is that the interior of the printer could have been lit a little better to show details.
I'm a great fan. I have already told several friends about your site and am considering putting a link on my web site as well. Feel free to use any or all of this email as you wish.
Thanks again and take care,
Skip
Dear Sir,
I would like to Thank You very much for the prompt and accurate service. The two kits I ordered from you (at pennies compared to replacement printer cost) repaired both of the printers. The instructions were very clear, accurate and easy to follow. I will highly recommend your service to anyone.
Sincerely
Mike
MOE- I had to write and say how easy it was to follow your CD video instructions and repair my HP 20000C. I love this printer and hated to lose it. After discovering HP no longer supported it (but would ship another refurbished for $359.00), I was considering trashing it. For around $80.00 (shipping/handling + torx tool) I fixed it, now it's good as new. I compared your replacement Ink Suppy Station with the original and found yours to be much sturdier and better built. This is the second time in almost 5 years it had to be replaced. First time was under warranty but took 2 weeks shipping back and forth. Fixing it myself was a breeze and gave me a great deal of satisfaction knowing I did it myself. I was really shocked also by the very quick delivery! I had not expected it until next week but it arrived in only 3 days after ordering it. Thanks for great service, support and materials. I will recommend your site to all my friends and colleagues. I can't say enough about how great your site is, you have not only saved me a bundle of money but made it worthwhile keeping an excellent printer!
Dear Moe,
Just wanted to say "thank you" for your prompt shipment of parts to repair my HP 4050 printer. Your video was very helpful, but I must say that you are deceptively dexterous! To get those two little springs installed with as little fuss as you did ... really must take practice!
I think your site is truly an excellent value and I bet that landfills are filling up with easily-repairable printers from people who don't know about it.
Mark
P.S. I am going to try to fix my wife's Epson Color Stylus 800 next. Certainly worth a try for less than $20!
AWESOME! My wife's Apple LaserWriter NTR appeared to be headed for the trash can, but after I found you on the Internet, I was able to fix the jam problem in under 30 minutes - with a minimum of cussing. :) If I can do it, believe me, anyone can.
$25 just saved me buying a new laser printer. I'll let all my business associates know about you.
THANKS!
Raleigh
I received the package and i could fix the feeder problem of the printer. The video CD was very useful. A new life has starded for my printer (and myself). Thank you. Your is very useful.

Moe,
Before ordering a repair kit from you last week, I read some of the Testimonials from your customers. I was amused at how overjoyed they sounded. Now I understand - I am just as giddy with triumph and gratitude as they ! Thank you for allowing me to get my printer back to working as it should. Just had to write this note to let you know.
Barbara
I just successfully finished the multiple-sheet/no feed repair on my HP LaserJet 6L. It was such a satisfying experience I almost wanted to do it again. I set up the CD video on my laptop so I could take it step-by-step and always be able refer back to the instructions. Not a job for the faint-hearted, however--I am reasonably mechanically-inclined, but still was pretty anxious about tearing into this trusted old component of my computing setup. But by taking it slow, and always remembering, as my Dad drilled into me, never to force things, I came out all right. One small item of feedback: on the LaserJet 6L, the idler between the arm and the paper-advance cam is also secured by an e-ring. Not a big deal to figure out and remove, but maybe worth a printed addendum to your instructions. Thanks again, I'm a satisfied customer.
Ron
P.S. I'm 66 years old, just to say that the lesson about not forcing things really did stick!
www.fixyourownprinter.com
I just wanted to let you know that I successfully fixed my HP LaserJet 6L printer using your "Blurry/Faded Print Repair Video" on MPEG / CD-ROM.
I was having problems with text being unreadably light and graphics being dark and smudged for about 2 1/2 years. It just kept getting progressively worse until I no longer was able to use the printer. I had replaced the Toner cartridge, though I knew it couldn't be low, and had gotten no improvement.
I had been using a cheap inkjet printer for the last 9 months in place of my laser printer but the output was so poor that I decided to try to repair it one last time before going out and buying a new printer (which I cannot afford right now).
I had no idea dust could cause such problems inside a laser printer. As I rinsed the laser emitter in window cleaner I thought to myself, "This is bogus ... there's no dust in here ... I don't see any ... this isn't going to work." I put it back together, plugged it in, and ran a self-test as I braced myself for yet another disappointment. I almost fell down when I saw the output looking as good as new (with the old toner cartridge, by the way).
Thanks so much for your help ... and the reasonable price. I will recommend your service to my associates.
Sincerely,
Erik
I just wanted to thank you for the service you offer. I was able to fix my HP LaserJet IIP Plus with no problems. I had both the paper pickup problem, and the accordion wrinkle on the exit wheel. Your video on how to fix the paper pickup was so clear, and easy to follow that I had both problems fixed in about fifteen minutes. Again, thank you very much!
Bob
Thank you for the quick delivery of the 52 Error (scanner motor) kit. I have it in and the printer is up and running fine again. I only wish I had the video before I ordered my kit and I would have ordered the Top output jam kit and the Inside printer jam kit to do at the same time. I am not having these problems but checked the clutch and it is cracked and the rollers are a bit mushy. Oh well, I'll have to get these at another time (the Canadian importing issue makes these much more costly than for US customers) but as of now they don't exist. Thanks again for your wonderful parts and videos.
Mike
Hi Moe,
Just want to say thanks for sending the extra exit assembly for the Apple LaserWriter 16/600. I installed all the new parts, put the printer back together and it works like new now. All of the pages exit perfectly straight. No curling or accordion jams. It took me awhile to figure out that the front only had to be latched before making sure the plastic latches on the back, at the bottom are attached. Any way printer works great now.
Thanks,
Scott
Add me to your list of satisfied customers. The troubleshooting
information on your website was clear and accurate, ordering was easy,

running great again. I'll recommend your site to all my friends.
Thanks again,

Another Satisfied Customer!
Hi,
I have an Epson printer which had (just) gone out of warranty. It printed fine up until a couple of weeks ago when all of a sudden the magenta vanished. Cleaning routines - I used an entire set of cartridges - would not touch it, nor would any of the 'patent' methods variously described on the 'net. Then I came across your site and ordered a cleaning kit. It arrived this morning at 0845 (4 days from the United States to Great Britain) and I am now, at 2015 hours, happily printing in full colour again. Considering that there had been no magenta output at all I am staggered at the effectiveness of this solution. It has saved me the cost a replacement printer, this printer (I think they should last more than 18 months!) and a trip to the tip! To top it all I've only used about 20% of the fluid so am well prepared for the next time.
Thanks very much indeed, I wish you every success.
Richard.
ps my wife says thank you too - apparently I've been grumpy for the last couple of weeks and now I'm all smiles! ;~)
pps my next printer will be a Canon!
The day that I discovered your website was a great day for me. I had a false "ink low" message on an HP Deskjet 2500C, and found the complete description of it on your site, plus a kit to fix it! I live in Bristol, UK, and was slightly concerned at having to order from the US but was encouraged by all of the "fanmail" on your site so placed the order. Shortly afterwards came an email to say that the kit had been shipped, and within a week I had it in my hands.
The video on CDROM was extremely clear, and boosted my confidence. I watched it a couple of times, rolled my sleeves up and went for it. Fifteen minutes later the printer was working perfectly. I'm absolutely delighted with the result, and would recommend your services to anyone.
Thanks again,
Peter

World class service - thank you
Thank you for your prompt and efficient service. My HP Laserjet III was up and running again three days after ordering a paper feed kit from you. I had contacted HP previously and was given the run around service and then was told they no longer supplied parts for the Laserjet III. They told me it was obsolete and it would be cheaper for me to upgrade and buy a new HP printer. I'm so happy to have found your website from a search through "google" and now I have my beloved Laserjet III running perfectly again for $29.95
Thank you to the technician and the videographer in the video CD for their excellent step by step directions, it gave me complete confidence in dissembling my printer.
I have already recommended your company to friends and coworkers who own older printers, especially laser printers. Again, thank you for your prompt, efficient same day shipment.

The printer dies on Sunday. I order the needed part and instructional video from you online.
It ships out on Monday. By Thursday it has arrived here in Florida all the way from California, and within a half hour after repairs begin the printer works like new again.

Thanks another happy customer
Your website is terrific, your cd-rom simple to follow and the motor part fixed this old printer. I just dropped the cd in the computer and paused it as it went along.
It's working good as new; no more grinding. Was a bit worried, because when I took out the old motor it didn't appear that the gear was broken. But, forward thinking, I figured the motor might have just worn out. Guess it was...
My husband's idea for this printer was to sell it on ebay for nothing for parts. Well it hasn't been working for and year and a half and it is perfect now. Even the toner is still okay. I think he was surprised.....I didn't tell him I ordered the part (ha).
Thanks again and I'll spread the word.
Mindy
Moe
Thank you for helping me to fix my laserjet 6p. You recommended a fixing roll repair kit and it worked out great. I was able to follow the video and installed the film and got the printer up and running in less than 30 minutes. I don't how much I would have saved if I brought the printer into a repair facility, but I received the satisfaction of repairing it myself.
Thank you.
Shari
Moe,
I can't say enough how grateful I am to you and your company. In the last year or so, I have ordered the Blank Page Error kit, the Top Accordion Jam kit, and, most recently, the Scanner Motor kit for my Apple PLW NTR. Needless to say, because of your company, I've been able to keep this old reliable printer up and running. Your instructions were great for all repairs and the video for the Scanner Motor was a godsend. Without it I would have been unable to do the repair at all, and my printer would have become my doorstop. Treating your customers like intelligent people and not like dodos waiting to be duped is a great business model. If only others in the tech world could learn from you!
Thanks again!

My HP 2100 started picking up multiple sheets from the manual tray. Not good. From the HP discussion forums I discovered the problem - the separator pad - and your site. Thank you! I don't mind paying more for the part in order to do the repair myself on-site. The video was much clearer than any manual diagrams would have been, and shipment by priority mail much appreciated. I have already notified others of your site.

HP IIP Error 41 Repair Kit
Hi Moe,
I was waiting for some big package and had to look hard to find it! Had some confusion with the "spring and plate removal" note. I was looking for something big to remove. Finally caught on and installed the kit. Works like a champ! I have fought this error code for years now. I even sent the unit to HP factory for complete reburbishment which fixed that and maybe other problems. Local repair folks never had a clue.
It's a good printer, much better than what is available today, and I want to keep it working. Your help will help me in that goal.
Thanks for the service.
Dave
Hi
I am a UK resident, who recently ordered the fix for the HP-5L multiple feed problem.
I was impressed that the kit arrived within a few days of my order. The video was a very good guide to doing the job (it could do with being a bit brighter for the shots inside the printer). Most of all, I am thrilled that I now have a working printer for $41.00 (inc shipping and insurance). My 5L is now like new, and I am so pleased, as I was about to bin it and get another printer, which would have cost significantly more.
How glad I was to find your fix (mentioned on the HP web site).
Many thanks again.
Yours
Geoff
I just wanted to say thank you for your incredible service. I purchased the Exit Repair Kit for the Apple Laserwriter 16/600 and everything went very smoothly thanks to the helpful video.
Also, if you ever consider hosting your repair files for delivery via download instead of on CD I can be of help to you.
Thank you,
Mark
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I recently purchased a repair kit (Fuser Exit Jam) for my HP-6P laser printer. Not only did the package arrive the next day but I got my printer up and running within 15 minutes. All this for $29.95. I had delayed repairing my printer for over a year because all the repair stores had told me that this would be a very costly repair, lots of money for time and all those expensive parts. You sent me the one part that was needed and the CD. You guys are simply the BEST!
Dan
The package just arrieved. Every thing is alright, i have been able to
fix the printer due to your repair-kit. Thanks a lot you made a great
job, i'm gonna recommend your service.

Just wanted to let you know
Just wanted to let you know that the parts I ordered worked from you like a charm. I received the parts VERY quickly and popped in the CD video tutorial right away. I followed the steps and in under an hour I had ripped my printer into pieces all over my office, replaced the offending parts, and put it all back together again. The very first time I printed it worked! I have used it dozens of times since then and it prints like new. Amazing for a printer that had not been running for over 10 years. I am very impressed and you can count on a customer for life.
Thanks,
Curtis

HPIIIP Top Output Accordion Jam Repair Kit
Moe,
I had never heard of fixyourownprinter.com, but when my trusty old HPIIIP
starting mangling pages as they exited the printer, I decided to do
something about it. Googling "laser printer repair" led me to your web
site. I was quickly able to diagnose the problem and find that the #K06
kit was just what I needed. Your comments about "difficulty level" and
"easy to follow directions" were very encouraging, so I ordered.
Two days later, the kit arrived. The instructions were great and the
installation simple (thanks especially for the warning not to drop the
hidden pin while removing the shaft!) The only hangup was that the new
shaft's hole (to accommodate that pesky little pin) was not large enough
on one side to let the pin through. Fortunately, an X-Acto knife was good
enough to rout it out the needed amount.
The printer is now working perfectly. Your store and your service are
great, and I'm really glad I've found you.

Hi Moe
Just purchased repair kit and ozone filter, from you was very happy with everything.
I am looking for a 4meg memory board for my Laser Jet IIID printer do you have any used or new ones and if you do what is the price..
Thank You
Chuck
Thanks for the good kit for lower pickup rollers for my 4V. Easy to do!
I'm having another occasional problem. Paper will jam on exiting. Not the usual problem, the exit rollers which are in the front (fold-down piece), but the jam seems to be happening in the very, very last small rollers, the ones in the top piece, just an inch inside the exit.
* What do you think?
* What parts are necessary to repair?
* ... and, are service manuals available for the 4V?
Thanks,
Bill
Moe,
I just ordered one of your repair kits to fix my HP LaserJet 4ML.

RE: Package Shipped to You
FYOP provides an altogether great service. My HP LaserJet 1100 had the
multifeed problem and was for all intents and purposes not much use to me.
For $20 FYOP sent me the replacement part (which was an improvement over the
HP original) plus very concise illustrated instructions on how to install the
part. It took me 10 minuets to complete the job. Thanks a lot!

Re: Package Shipped to You
I received the package on 8/6 but didn't have a chance to work on the printer until noon today.
I was able to fix both problems (rippled paper and Error 41 code) on my ancient HP IIP in about 15 minutes. Everything works great. Interesting that our IT department told me a couple of months ago that the no longer supported repairing these old printers since you couldn't get parts for them anymore and that I should just surplus it. Our technical department uses a number of very high quality community printers so they are avoiding replacing individual printers in most cases. For ~$40 I was able to maintain the convenience of having a personal printer in my office.
Also I wanted to comment that the directions for both repairs were very straight forward.
Thanks,
Larry
Thank you so much for the video and replacement parts. You guys saved us a huge amount of money, and allowed me to be the office hero for 10 minutes because *I*fixed*the*printer*! You have a great product - simple, cheap, and effective. We will use you again, and recommend you when the opportunity arises.
Sincerely thankful,
Lylah

Hey Moe!
Package arrived (FYI: No extra charges or extortion by postal folks!)
Printer fixed: No more accordion inside my Apple PLW
Thanks very much.

Dear Moe......
After years of reliable service my HP Laserjet 11P plus suddenly failed to print and showed a 52 error code, a scanner problem, according to the manual. I contacted HP and their support website for a referral to a local repair service. The HP site recommended only one shop within a 200 mile radius of my office so I drove 45 miles to take the printer in and indicating it had an error 52 scanner problem. The technician said he could clean it at a cost of 1 hr labor, but a new scanner motor would run about $350 and noted the October 1992 manufacturing date, saying that it wasn't worth investing much as buying a new printer would be cheaper. I had it dismantled and cleaned but it still did not work.
The page count was low and the printer still perfect for my needs, so I typed the printer and error code into a Google search which came up with your site. You shipped me the $49.95 scanner motor repair kit which cleared customs and arrived very quickly by mail. Following the step by step CD-ROM video procedure very carefully, I had the printer up and running like new in less than 90 minutes, saving me hundreds of dollars.
Thank you so much for your rapid and helpful service................John
I usually don't bother to write thanking a company for providing a service.
However, after purchasing and installing an ink unit for an HP-2000 printer,
I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent video you provided and how easy
it was to follow your instructions. I fixed two of these printers, and they
are both doing fine now. I wish there were companies for fix your own vcr,
fix your on cd player etc. You provide a great service.
Just a little suggestion... you indicate shipment by postal and then it came
DHL. Since they lost track of the delivery and I had to spend 4 hours on the
phone to find it, I would suggest anything BUT DHL. Perhaps UPS ground, or
even postal overnight would have been only $14.00.
Sincerely,
Jay

I just wanted to say THANKS. I recently purchased a kit for my HP Laserjet 3100, installed it without a hitch, and it appears to have totally fixed the problem. The video instructions were perfect. Thank you for this wonderful product. My 5L had never worked right from the day we bought it. Now it works perfectly!
Your CD video made repairing it easy... There were absolutely no surprises--and it was handy to be able to pause and back up when necessary. The video is 22 minutes long. It took me about 30 minutes to make the repairs and I didn't have any parts left over!
Thanks! I'll highly recommend!

Here's a testimonial you can use if you like.
I must say that I wasn't sure that your printer repair kit would work as easily as advertised, but in about half an hour this mom, my eight-year-old, and my two-year-old, working together, managed to go through the whole video and do the whole repair (and our part was fairly buried inside the casing). When we plugged in the printer, it worked flawlessly. Thanks!

Hi Edna
Just a quick note to say the spares arrived in less than 1 week (to Ireland).
Parts installed without a hitch, partly due to your video.

Thanks for the speed in getting the motor replacement to me. It took only one day and the directions on the CD were impeccable. I followed right along with no problem. The ease of repair was as simple as it looked on the video. Out of 5 stars you get a 5.5 in my book. I'm back in business now.

I just want to let you know that I received the kit I ordered, this morning.
Many thanks for getting it to me so quickly,
Robin.
Hi,
I was so impressed with your service and repair kit for my 5L paper feed
problem that I just had to write and tell you. After ordering on line the
kit arrived in less than a week. The CD was great, I watched it through once
then did the job with it running again, less than 45 mins later the job was
complete, and the printer working perfectly. Thank you very much. Your
website is in my favorites for future use.
Thank you once again

Hello Sales,

not come up normally.

Just want to say how satisfied I am with the Pickup Jam and repair kit. I couldn't ask for better assistance than I received from the enclosed CD. Down to the screw head color. Thank you very much. I certainly have your web site 'bookmarked'.

Holy, moly!! I got your repair kit w/ video....and it worked!! Problem solved!!
Thanks!
I just wanted to say thanks for keeping detail help tips in your forums. I manage around 20 different HP printers and I stop here to do my tech research. Just today I had a HP 5P that was printing light on the left side. A quick search got me a hit on your site with the same problem. You told him to clean the mirror... I cleaned the mirror. That 5P has never printed better!
Thanks for being a valuable resource on the net!
Dennis
Moe,
Please disregard my last e-mail message. I found my own problem after taking it back apart. One of the small sub-pads was not properly clipped in. (It's amazing how easy the fix is the second time around.)
The HP LaserJet 5L now feeds wonderfully. Chalk me up as another satisfied customer!
The web site, CDROM video, and repair kit are exactly what I needed.
Thanks,
Russ
I want to tell you folks what a great experience it has been dealing with you.
I have HP 2000C had bad bongo pads purchased your repair kit. I am usually all thumbs and with the help of your video I got the job done. My 2000C is now working. I have made sure that your page is in about 4 or 5 places on the HP Forum for problems with the 2000C
Now if one could get HP to write drivers for XP. Instead I have to use the ones that are native XP

Recently I began getting an error code on my Epson 1500. I contacted Epson and got this response.
> Dear Mr. -:
>
> We are in receipt of your letter regarding your Action Laser 1500 printer.
> We are pleased to learn that it has served you well. The error E0003 is a
> service message. The fuser unit is defective and will need to be replaced.
> This is a very expensive repair and it may not be cost-effective to support
> the printer.
I began to search for any other help and found your service. Right off the bat I found the problem code I was having and an explanation that covered it. I decided to try and do the repair myself figuring I really didn't have much to lose. The instructional video was a godsend. What a really great way to ease my mind on the repair. I followed each step and so far my printer is back working just fine.
I just can't thank you enough. I will certainly let anyone I know that's having printer problem about you.
Dave.
Moe,
Just for the heck of it I phoned the company Epson referred me to as their local repair facility for my area. The technician I spoke with told me the following. "Labor would be $75.00 an hour. One hour minimum. The entire fuser would need to be replaced since you couldn't get just the bulb. He didn't know the price off hand but thought the fuser would run around $200.00. So to get the job done would be around $275.00 plus tax (7%).
As I said in my other note to you, I can't begin to thank you enough for the great help you provided me. My printer is running just fine now. Your video walk-through of the repair was invaluable. I will be sure to tell all my friends about your service. Thanks again.
Dave
Imagine my surprise when, a few short days after I ordered, which included New Year's Day, my package from you arrived. I was taken aback at first when I couldn't find the part, then I discovered the little separation pad (HP1100, must be a chronic problem with these things). $19.95!?!?! my cheapskate self exclaimed. But then my realistic self reminded me that at work (this is a home printer), we just had a laser repair guy in at $150 for the call plus parts and labor. After the three minute install using your beautifully illustrated instructions, my printer is humming away. I am happy to pay a premium for your expertise and will recommend you to everyone I come in contact with who has printer maintenance responsibility.
Thanks!

Hi,
Please be informed that I succeeded in fixing my LaserWiter II NTX. This is the third fix/component(pickup roller, fuser power supply unit and takeout roller) I have ever purchased from you. As of yet, success probability is 100%. Thank you very much indeed.
Wishing you a happy new year,

Moe...
Thank you for the repair kit and CD video. It worked like a charm and instilled in the "I can do it too" feeling when it comes to printer repair. I had the HP Laser Jet IIP "open door" problem and your fix was right on the money.
Thank you.
Captain L. T.
We despaired of our beloved 10-year-old HP 4L when it began making ominous grinding noises -- but lo and behold, there was that precise diagnosis on your website. Your kit arrived as promised, the video instructions worked as promised, and with the new motor we are hoping for another 10 trouble-free years. Who woulda thunk that anything connected with computers could last this long? Thank you a thousand times.
Wendy and Ric
Hi Moe,
I received the part for my HP IIP printer last week. The video on CD that
came with it was just great. Not only did the part solve my problem the
video was very informative. I will not hesitate to recommend you to all my
friends. Keep up the great work.
Bill
Moe,
After reading the emails of others who had the same problem with a balky lower cassette tray, I decided to try your "error 41" kit. I was frankly surprised by the simplicity of the part to be replaced and the brevity of the instructions. However, everything went fine and now the printer works without me having to remove every other page because it is blank.
Be sure that I'll recommend your site to others.
Regards,
Bob
Moe,
Just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how incredibly satisfied I am
with my order from your website. Immediate shipping, easy online store, and
a VERY THOROUGH step-by-step videotape. Hats off to you and your staff!
You are doing a wonderful service at a very fair price and I will be
spreading the word.
Thanks again,

I've looked on the fixyourownprinter.com website for an email address so that
I could register my delight and sincere satisfaction with the speed I received
the repair kit.
Ordering from Australia I was expecting not to receive the part for a couple of
weeks at least. However, exactly one week from ordering on line, the part
plus the video CD dropped into my letterbox.
It took my son under 15 minutes to have the new fuser roller in place and my
printer running happily once again.
I have been telling the story to all my family and friends so I expect you will
be receiving more orders from downunder before long.
Please keep up this wonderful facility!

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank-you for saving my printer. My HP 6L has been a wonderful printer and I wasn't ready to get rid of it just yet. I stumbled across your web page and at first I wasn't sure if I should buy from you or not, but after reading the many testimonials I was convinced that this was the right place. Sorry, just realised I am an idiot! Have now spotted the replacement separation pad attached to the instructions! By the way have just done the two HP 6Ls roller and pad replacements without any problems due to the excellent video instructions and had complete success with both printers now working perfectly. I'd recommend you thoroughly. Many thanks.

To the "fix your own printer team":
I just have to tell you how pleased I am --- I really liked my HP5L, it didn't really have that much use, but I keep it at a satellite office, and the paper has been loaded for years -- even though I'm not there frequently. So I guess over time, that contributed to the no feed/multiple feed problem.
A year ago, I learned that was a common problem, so I bought the $8 quick fix separation pad , which worked for about 6 months. I was about to throw the 5L away and buy a new one, when I luckily found your site.
I figured it was worth the $35-$40 for the kit, video and S/H, to take a shot; I'm pretty good at following directions, I'm somewhat handy, so I thought as long as someone shows me, this might be a solution.
I am VERY pleased. I put the video on yesterday while the kids were trick or treating, I had the 5L on a table, and I performed the repair in between the doorbell ringing with trick or treaters. Just over an hour later, I finished, tested it, and I am quite pleased, and I have a lot of self-satisfaction in: (1) doing the repair myself; (2) not just throwing out the unit; (3) saving $$ ; and (4) getting to keep my printer, which is really good quality, and not have to buy a new one, connect it, install drivers, setup printer for other programs, etc.
All in all, a great result!
Thanks,
Frank

Moe,
Had a problem with my HP Laser Jet Printer and I know it would have cost at least $200 to fix it and two weeks down time by an authorized service center. I found your site online - took a gamble and decided to try your service. What can I say? | RE: Package Shipped to You |
I received the package on Thursday and waited untill Friday night because I was afraid it would take me at least 2 hours to fix that problem (although I once was a technician in electronics, I have not been touching a tool for the last 25 years). Friday nigt came and I opened the box, put the CD on my computer, looked at the video (for 22 minutes or so). Once the video finished, I started the repair. 20 minutes later the printer was up and running.
Conclusion: The video is longer than the repair work itself.
You have a most valuable concept and it is very well applied.
Thanks (and I must say that I rarely say thanks for something I gave money for, but this is an exceptional service worth many many thanks)

Moe,
I just repaired my Apple LaserWriter 4/600 with your repair kit (motor replacement), and I had to send a note of thanks.
I was all set to toss a perfectly good printer in the trash when I stumbled across your site. Within minutes I found the page that diagnosed the exact problem I was having. I could hardly believe the repair kit could be so inexpensive. When it arrived just a couple days later, it only took a few minutes to install and it worked like a charm. Thanks for offering a choice of CD or VHS for the video, too.
You have yet another *extremely* satisfied customer.
Sincerely,
Jason
Thank you, and congratulations on your brilliant service! I ordered your HP 5L-6L Blurry-Faded Print Repair Video. It came very speedily. It's exactly right. Our printer now works perfectly again. An excellent product at a very good price.

The correct video arrived yesterday.
After viewing it, installing the new board was quite straightforward. The IIIP now operates correctly again.
Thank you for your help. You are doing a great service for those of us who don't want to "toss and buy". ...jim

Dear Laser Service,
Thank you so much for your help in fixing my Epson printer. Your solution, syringe, and very clear instructions worked "like a charm"!!!!! Within a matter of a few hours, the printer heads were cleaned and operating as good as new.

Hello again!
On Wednesday, you wrote:

In fact, the package arrived today, just in time, and in exactly one week!
Also, the kit was great, the video made it simple, we got it replaced and the printer is working excellently! Yihaa! Thanks a lot, you saved me a lot of money! :-) Also, I'll be ordering a couple of other parts that were pointed out that might need replacing, and they do...

Moe:
I'd just like to say how pleased I am with your laser printer repair kit (Error 57: HP LaserJet 4 main motor replacement). I approached this job prepared for the worst, but everything went incredibly smoothly: the diagnosis was correct, the video was clear, the replacement motor was the right one, and I didn't have any parts left over!
Thanks a lot.

The inside printer accordion jam kit worked like a charm on my 10-year-old LaserJet IIIP. The single page of pictorial instructions that you provide is a marvel of conciseness.
I was a bit worried when, after the repair, the printer would feed from the lower cassette but not from the multi-purpose tray. A bit of rubber rejuvenator on the pickup cams solved that problem, and I'm back in business.
Bob
hey moe,
I just installed the IIIP "top accordion fix" part you sent me, took 2 minutes to install and it worked like a charm as per usual. thanks ever so much! --justin
This is great!!
I bought your repair kit for an HP LJ4 and it was exactly what I needed. It saved me lots of $$. What I liked most was the instructional DVD. That made everything so easy to disassemble, repair and reassemble.
Good job!
I'd just like to say how pleased I was with the HP 5si tray 3 paper jam kit.
I was expecting it to take a while to get to the UK (especially as your
shipping charge was so low) but it arrived in a couple of days. The CD video
was very clear and the instructions easy to follow (although getting at the
last circlip was difficult and I loosened a circuit board to make it
easier). The printer feed has been working perfectly ever since I installed
the kit several weeks ago.

Thanks - satisfied customer
Hi Moe,
Just a satisfied customer reporting back. My friend's HP LaserJet IIP has been churning out accordion paper for a long time and was thinking about tossing the printer. I'd seen your postings in various websites - always good answers by the way - and I clicked the link to www.fixyourownprinter.com. I found the "Accordion Jam" problem described exactly and ordered the kit immediately. I placed the order around noon on a Tuesday (normal shipping) and it arrived 48 hours later - not bad for California to Boston. A ten minute repair and the printer has never worked better. Great directions and it was under $26 including shipping!
Very many thanks - I will be recommending you often I'm sure.
Best Regards...
Bob
Hello Moe,
I wrote to you on Wednesday about a scanner motor kit for my PLW NTR. The kit arrived less than 24 hours after I ordered it, even with standard shipping!
I spent the time to do the repair this afternoon, and to my great delight, my printer is working again! So I'd just like to say thanks for putting up your web site and creating these kits for people. You probably saved me 2/3 the cost of bringing it in (and probably a few days of downtime waiting for the shop to do it), which I really appreciate since I'm not working full-time now. Thanks also for replying to my previous email so quickly.
Best regards,
Monte
Hi. Real quick...I came across a site for printer fixes. My (very) old LaserJet at home was folding up the end of my paper. I called these people, got a part and instructions...and for $20 my old HP printer's like new again.
Thought you and the rest of IT should know.

Well that was easy. A problem with the HP 4000 printer feeding multiple sheets was fixed easily and quickly with the help of your excellent video.
What good service!
Thanks
David
Your video was the best repair kit imaginable for my Laserwriter Select 360.
The degree of difficulty that you marked as high was completely neutralized by the video. It wasn't exactly a piece of cake, but certainly doable!
This machine has the fax modem card option installed and it's left running continually as the incoming fax. I found an enormous amount of dust inside, so took each part outdoors to blow it off because there was no vacuum available. One suggestion that might help is to have the customer have a vacuum cleaner on hand.
Once the mirrors were cleaned, the re-assembly went very smoothly and the machine prints beautifully!
Great value! Thank you.

I received the component, looked at the movie, replace the component and the printer worked fine. I really appreciate your service. It is excellent.

Just like to say thank you for the prompt delivery (9 days to the UK), and the dvd tutorial was very easy to follow. Had the error 52 kit installed in just over the time shown in the dvd tutorial.
Booted up the LaserJet IIIP and now all is working fine.
When it breaks down next, I will come a knocking for the next kit <g>
Thanks again.

Hey Moe:
I changed the cartridge in my HP 4ML (was having black lines) and the first sheet I printed came out crystal clear.
You are the man!!! Thanks a lot.

The piece for my LaserJet IIIP arrived in the mail this afternoon. I had it installed in less than ten minutes (I already had the old piece removed from the printer) to have it working like new! ! I have had to put up with this for over four years and now I have a "new" printer. Thanks!!!
Dave
I recently ordered a repair kit for an HP 4 & am so totally impressed with your company that I must tell you so. Your prices are fair, your service is excellent, and your step-by-step video was exceptional! We will definately use your company as our first source for HP repair parts!

OK, I was a bit skeptical about the kit I ordered with a difficulty
level at about the hardest you can get, BUT after following the
instructions on the included video CD, I actually replaced the part
no problem. What's even better is that it solved my annoying
paper jam problem!
Your company offers a great service to those of us who have some
mechanical aptitude and are tired of payinig so-called experts
top dollar to do what you know you could do yourself if you only
had guidance.
Thanks for your help. I will recommend you highly.

Hi.
Just wanted you to know I ordered this CD-ROM Video (for cleaning the mirrors to cure right side print fade on an Apple laserwriter Select 360) on the 17th and received it today.
This is a really helpful and nicely done video.
Thanks for the good and prompt service. I'm now confident I can solve this printer's problem in <1 HR. To get this machine back in service right away will be a boon. We use it for network faxing as well as printing.
I wish Apple had continued to support this nifty network printer/fax function in later versions of Mac OS.
Thanks!

Thank you so much,
Trent
Hi Jonathon,
Just wanted to let you know that since I could not download the video, when I called your tech department they mailed a cd that same day. I received it, used it and am not only amazed at how clear and easy you made the repair, I am still in disbelief that I repaired it myself!!! The printer is working fine and I would definitely use your services again despite the original snag. Thank you so much! I am already singing your praises to friends here in The Woodlands, Texas.
Sincerely,
Patricia
Hello, This is Mike. I just wanted to let you know that I received my Epson head cleaning supplies today. You folks are SUPER! Thanks for the quick service.I have you bookmarked in my computer, so I can use you in the future. Oh by the way, I used the cleaner according to your instructions,on a Epson 600 that I bought at a thrift store. It was completely clogged. I let it sit in the cleaner for 5 hrs, put in new ink tanks, and its printing like new. Thanks, Mike
Moe,
I'm not usually one to "gush" about any product, but I was amazed to find that you offered solutions to TWO of my printer problems* that I had thought were not cost-effective to fix on my aging laser printers. I was delighted to find that you offered _exactly_ what I needed, and at very reasonable cost. The repair instructions were clear and easy to follow. Thank you very much!

purchase of Multi-Sheet/No Feed Repair kit
Hi,
I recently purchased one of your repair kits (as noted in subject field). It worked great and my printer is working fine. In fact it works so well that I recently purchased another used HP 5L laser printer. This one prints better than the one I already have but after a while it starts picking up too many sheets of paper also. I would like to buy another set of parts to fix this problem but since I already have the repair video could I buy this kit without it and if so what would the price be?
Thanks, Randall
Letting you know that I completed the repair successfully and am VERY PLEASED! I will tell others about your service!
THANK YOU!!!

WOW!
My Espon printer has not worked right for months, and I did everything I could think of to fix it myself. The red ink would not print. I read about your kits with the Epson solution in an email newsletter I get and I thought I should give it a try.
I followed the first part of your instructions, let it sit over night, ran the cleaning cycle 3 times and it now works like a champ. I just wanted to thank you and let you know I will tell anyone else I know about this great product.
Thanks again,

Ordered the kit it arrived yesterday watched the video once and again while rebuilding the paper exit feeder. Very easy great video.
Thanks

Your website is awesome. After a few minutes on Google I found your home page, diagnosed my IIIP and had a part within 2 days! I got so cocky after that, I bought another IIP at a thrift shop and fixed it for my daughter to use. The video on changing the laser motor was great! I now have two working laser printers for less money than what we used to spend on inkjet refills every 6 months.
Pat in Cheyenne
Hello Moe,
This is just a note that I want to send. I found your website and after a bit of searching decided to bite my lip and try to fix my laser printer. The last estimate was $220+ to repair, which I didnt think was worth the cost of the printer.
Needless to say, it is a canon lbp4 which I found out through your site was the same as an HPIIP, IIIP series. The problem was a "12 door open" error. Well I found the kit on your site, went through the repair cdrom (thanks for that too, it was excellent to see it as an MPEG). It took me 20 minutes to take apart and put back together twice. I say that because I was stupid and put it together too quick, only to find out that the same problem was there. I found out that I didnt plug in a connector all the way (I was scared for a minute though).
Your service was extremly fast and I didnt require ANY additional help! I got my printer back for $45!!! I will always send people your way as well as use your service myself from now on!
Thanks for saving my printer!
John
Finding this website will probably save my company a couple of thousand dollars a month on repairs we used to hand out to consultants. The website is clearly presented and not bogged down with stupid over kill graphics, which would slow it down.
Great website - Great company!
Stewart
Dear Moe,
I received the new kit today. Very easy except for reinstalling the little springs. Seems to work well so far.
Thanks again for sending the new kit. I'm a computer consultant, and will not hesitate to recommend your service.

Thank you. I was able to fix the computer and am very grateful for your instructions. In a prior memo I asked for clarification of something I could not understand from the video. I finally got it and the fix was successful. Thanks again.
Hello,

Many thanks for the excellent service. I should have written earlier, but I have been getting up to date with the printing. The package arrived within 4 days of ordering!!! I can't get that service from some UK suppliers.
The video was instructive and entertaining, and showed that even the experts have difficulty. However it enable me to replace the power unit on the Laserwriter IINT and I was up and printing within one hour of taking delivery.
Again many thanks. By the way, do you know a site that can help repair an Apple Color Stylewriter Pro. The waste ink tanks are full and I can find how to replace/empty them.

would just like to take this opportunity to thank you. i am an accountant in the middle of "tax season" and you helped me repair the manual feed on my hp laserjet 5p. i am not mechanically inclined and try to avoid repairing things!! your video was excellent. glad you didn't edit it like they do on those home repair shows. only problem i had was getting that last screw out [torked in too tight on their original assembly] just like the problem you had on the video. i will recommend your company highly. thanks again!

Moe,
When our 10 year old Apple Laserwriter NT died about two weeks ago, we feared that our only choice was to contribute it to the county landfill. The local computer service company charges $75 to look at it and who knows how much to fix it: maybe $200, maybe $500, maybe more, according to the woman who answered the telephone. In desperation I found you in a search of the WWW. Your troubleshooting guide -- including communications with a previous customer -- pointed to the DC board. Now the printer works again, after about $45, wait of less than a week, and about an hour of my time.
Thanks for your excellent service, well organized WWW site, and clear video instructions!
David
PS Do you want the dead board for refurbishing?

Thank you very much for a super service and for (hopefully) allowing me to prolong the life of my printers for a few more years!

I've had this HP 5L and it was the fastest laser printer that I owned. Then paper jams came in to the picture. I ruined the rubber foam and the mylar sleeve. a friend had a broken 5L and gave it to me. I did'nt know much about repairing this model. With this website I found everything that I needed free of charge. Thanks again.

I ordered a LaserJet II/III 50 Service Error Kit and Exit Jam Repair Kit on Jan 31. With my order I asked where I might find a frame piece that had gone missing (at an HP Authorized Service Facility) some years ago. I was delighted and amazed when your package arrived with the frame piece I have been trying to locate for a year enclosed with my order. YOU GUYS ROCK! Thank you very much! I wish I had discovered you years earlier.
One little suggestion for the Exit Jam Repair Kit Video. When I completed my repairs and powered up, I got a 50 Error message. (Uh-Oh: $69.95 down the tubes says I). After reviewing all my re-assembly efforts for both kits, I discovered that the metal contact tab that the wire at the right side of the fuser assembly screws down on while re-installing the cover following gear replacement had slipped behind the cover. You do mention it in the video but perhaps a little more emphasis about the consequences of improper positioning could be helpful to us novices. Overall the videos have been great. I have also bought and installed paper feed jam kits for series II LaserJets with excellent results and used information found in your forums to troubleshoot a LaserJet IIP power supply to componant level.
One last thing. Any suggestions for the white plastic pieces on the metal shaft toward the end of the feed path that direct the paper upward when the Rear Output Tray Door is closed. I frequently get jamming when the door is open and the paper hits these guides instead of gliding over them. I suspect they are worn.
Thanks again for a class act in products and service at great prices!

I just ordered a repair kit for the HP LaserJet that was taking 10 sheets at
a time. It arrived in 3 days and 30 minutes later I was up and running again.
Thanks 1000 - That was the most fun I've had all week. Saved me the $250.00 I was about to spend on a new printer.
Thanks,

Moe,
Got the drum clutch today, put it in. I was wary of the existing toner cartridge, so on a whim I pulled it out, and took a can of air I have lying around and carefully blew out around the cart's gears and moving parts. And now it actually turns fairly well. I then proceeded to install the clutch, and it prints beautifully (albeit 4ppm). Thanks a lot!
dan
Moe;
Last Saturday I found an HPIIIP in a thrift store. It looked great on the outside. So, on a whim, I bought it for $2. At home I discovered it had a new toner cartrige inside, but it gave me a 52 error and wouldn't print. I used Google to search for "HP III error 52" and found your site. Monday I ordered your repair kit. It arrived yesterday (Wednesday), so last night I viewed your video (about 20 minutes) and took another 15-20 minutes to repair the printer. It works great!. Thanks for your site and the great service. I'm going to keep my eye on the thrift store for more printers, and maybe with your help, I'll start a little home-based business.
Thanks,
Chuck
I replaced the bulb and it works fine. It was moderately difficult. The hardest thing was to remove the screws that attach the fuser cover. I use the Philips head of a power screwdriver and a crescent wrench since there is not enough room to get a regular screwdriver on the screw heads.
Also, the Laserwriter II paper misfeed kit worked fine. Just don't drop the screens into the printer (I had to lift up the printer and turn it upside down to shake out 1 screw).

Swiss HP laserjet 1100 fixed
Hi
I quickly got the separation pad for the HP1100, I installed it and it works!!! Only the removal of the old pad was not so easy... The old pad lasted for less than 7000 pages, let's see how long yours will last. In the meantime: no more paper wasted and no need for a new printer.
Thanks and bye from Switzerland
Oliver
I just fixed our HP 5L and I didn't mess up!
This is my second printer repair using your kits (the first was an HP IIP). You folks are great, and I am very appreciative of the service you provide. I'm also very happy with the power screwdriver I bought from you, it is a high-quality tool.
Steve
Yo Moe,
You are my hero! Aw, that was some pretty lame rhyming, sorry.
Anyway, the printer is up and working fine. I cleaned it up real good (my fingertips are now various shades of teal) and rebooted. After the superbowl, of course. And all is well. My daughter's homework is now ready for tomorrow morning. I still want to replace that strip. Another day...
Thanks, again, glad I found your site.
Good bye, from a remote, Ozark, mountain village.
Charlotte
You're the greatest, dude! I've worked on a lot of printers, but obviously not to your level. Your help at least got me to be able to clear that error. Now the customer has a "replace overflow bottle" error. I've (visually) checked the fuse. Hoping tomorrow to get a meter on it to check it electrically. I've emptied the bottle...
Anyway, wanted you to know your advise was RIGHT on the money! I never would've thought to put a piece of paper in the manual feed!
IF I can clear that "replace bottle" error, I'd be glad to give your kit a try (providing the price is reasonable)!

Re: Package Shipped to You
Thank you; item received and it worked extremely well.
Dear Moe,
I recently bought a jam repair kit for a Laserwriter II, which now works
superbly with the new roller. Your kit cost me half the hourly rate of a printer repair station and I had the satisfaction of doing the job myself.
Without buying an entire kit--which I don't need--could I buy felt pads for the solenoids in a LW II and the cork registration pad (as I think it's called?) I don't need a new roller. If so, at what price, including shipping?
Thanks, Jim

Testimonial from a VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER
I read through some of the 1.4 million (I only slightly exaggerate) testimonials on your page and mostly because of them, I decided to give you folks a try. Here are the facts and the results (there is NO exaggeration anywhere in the following tale - I swear):
1- My tax-preparer partner's HPLJ4+ started folding-up pages through the top of the printer (the famous "accordion" feeding problem);
2- With tax season getting into full swing, my partner had to have a printer that actually printed so she went out and bought a new HPLJ2200d with twice the print speed, twice the cost of the toner cartridges, twice the print mess, and a hundred times LESS reliability than the old HPLJ4+;
3- She returned that one and got another one, which performed just about as badly as the first one with the possible exception of printing rather than smearing;
4- My partner gave me the old, rollers-broken HP and it sat there for weeks drilling holes through my carpet on it's way to China until I decided there had to be a way to fix it;
5- After searching the web, I stumbled onto your site, read some testimonials, and then ordered the replacement roller repair kit;
6- Procrastination - being the evil that it is - caused the kit (which had arrived in under a week) to sit on top of the already-hefty HP printer for several more weeks, only to accelerate the printer's descent to the Orient;
7- Many weeks later (sigh!), I called my brother to ask if he could help me with the installation. He whined because he'd just paid $99 for a technician to perform the exact same fix on his HPLJ printer, but, however grumpily, he agree to help me;
8- About a two months later (!), I finally hauled the broken HP out of the pit that used to be my carpet to my bro's house and an hour later (we were slow NOT because it was hard to do, but because we were INTERRUPTED A MILLION TIMES by other clueless computer users in his family), we had a nice, cleaned-up-and-printing-just-fine HPLJ4+ repaired by TWO VERY HAPPY LASERJET ROLLER REPAIR NEOPHYTES;
9- I gave my old HPLJIII (!) - which was still mightily printing away after 20 years - to my son, happily installed the old-but-now-good-as-new HPLJ4+ in my office, and continue to watch as my partner gets greyer by the minute with the new HPLJ2200d while mine performs flawlessly;
10- I also installed a live web cam which is constantly pointed at the repaired printer in case - by some amazing time warp transference phenomenon thing - a brand new HPLJ2200d ends up on my desk and my precious old HPLJ4+ - repaired with the FIXYOUROWNPRINTER.COM rollers - ends up on someone else's desk only to crunch out tax returns for all eternity with MY NEW ROLLERS IN IT!
I simply can't thank you enough for this. Now, if you could sell procrastination repair kits, you might have something.
Deb
What a fantastic concept! About 15 minutes ago, your exit roller repair
kit for HP5/6 printers arrived on my doorstep. I reckon there was a
design flaw in the printer rollers that inevitably turned them into
something that looked more like gummi bears on a hot car seat rather
than rollers. Poof! Less than 10 minutes later, I'm done. The printer
is up and going and running like a champ again. If I'd have taken this
to a service company, they, I'm quite certain, would have "serviced" me
real good, if you catch my drift. Thank you once again and let me know
if you start fixyourowndodgecaravanairconditioner.com !!!
Sincerely,

Just finished repairing an exit jam problem on our Apple Laserwriter 600. We
did it over cocktails using your parts and EXCELLENT video, and at this very
moment, it is printing flawlessly!
We just wanted to thank you for an exceptional product/sevice that you just
can't find anywhere these days.
Thanks again
Carolyn
Not a question – just PRAISE!!
I am by no stretch of the imagination hardware-knowledgeable. My HP Laserjet 4000T was messed up – multiple feeds from the multi-purpose tray. It was going to cost me a $99 service call plus parts and labor and about 2 weeks of time to fix my printer. I got on your website Friday, found what I needed and ordered it. Monday morning the mailman dropped off my package. The CD was incredibly easy to follow – even for someone as inept as I am. I have recommended your site to EVERYONE I know. You guys have done a great job making repairs easy for non-techies. Repair companies be warned!

I had no idea what was wrong, and didn’t actually take the time to investigate it until recently. I looked online for known issues with this model printer and came across your web site. After looking at a couple of other places, your offer for the replacement parts that I needed including an instructional video for around $35 sounded like a pretty good deal, so I ordered it (HP’s solution would have cost me nearly $200). This was on a Friday afternoon. The following Monday, I received the package in the mail. I couldn’t believe how fast it came since it was just shipped standard USPS.
When I went to fix my printer the next day, I was a bit concerned that the video would not be very detailed and may leave me high and dry. These fears were completely unprecedented. The video not only walked me through every step of the way, it even made sure to give details about what issues could possibly occur (even though the instructor didn’t have such problems). After all was said and done, and I had my printer back together, it worked like new.
Thank you very much for your help and your service. I will certainly use you again if either I or a customer of mine has any printer issues. I will also be recommending you to all of my more tech-savvy friends.
Sincerely,
Travis
I noticed you helping a lot of people on the printer site. Your help doesn't go unnoticed.

Moe -
I can't thank you enough for helping to get my HP LJIIP working again. Having been out of work for quite some time, I was busily sending out resumes and preparing for meetings when the printer decided to give me an error 12 Open or No EP message. Based on the description in the HP manual, I was prepared to pay hundreds to have the printer serviced, or at least spend the money to buy a new printer. Just for kicks, I decided to do an Internet search to see if there were any sites that could provide some help, and your site came up along with many others. I read most of the sites, but found yours to be the easiest to navigate and certainly the most informative. After reading your diagnosis pages and speaking with you, I decided to try to fix it myself. I ordered the density adjusting PCA repair kit late Wednesday afternoon and it arrived early this afternoon (Friday). After viewing the tape once, I replayed the tape and followed your instructions step by step. It was unbelievably easy, especially with your helpful hints along the way!
I've been in IT for more than 25 years and I've had the opportunity to read and use many manuals, but none could come close to making the task at hand easier than your video tape. And certainly none would have taken so little time! I don't make recommendations very often, but in your case, I will "spread the word" everywhere and anywhere I can.
Thank you a million times over!
Anne
P.S. Sorry I was reduced to tears on the phone; it touches me when I run into a genuinely kind and gentle soul.
P.P.S. Are you the person in the video tape?
Moe,
I like the way you do business. The part arrived safely and I installed it in about 3 minutes. I can only image how much I saved by buying the parts from you. I know this sounds a bit like a commercial but I do thank you.
God Bless.
